I would also like to lovingly add that tithes to the Lord doesn't't have to be given in a collection pot in the church. I believe it can be monetary donations, volunteer work, giving away the things you don't use that someone may need. Charity = Love. Give what you can brothers and sisters. It does fill the heart with so much joy.

Melchizedek is the Holy Spirit of God: just believe what it says. “Made like unto the Son of God,” “ without father, without mother.” The Holy Spirit of God is what makes us as believers kings and PRIESTS! What did he meet Abraham with after the slaughter of the kings? Bread and wine: what does this symbolize? The New Testament body and blood of Christ. The Holy Ghost did not indwell believers in the Old Testament, this is why Hebrews is emphasizing the priesthood of Melchizedek so much because he met Abraham when he was still a Gentile.

Great lecture pastor. Yes as followers of Jesus we should give all, not just a tithe. Interestingly at the Jerusalem council when the apostles gave Paul the instructions for the new church they never mentioned tithing. Paul also wrote that we should give without compulsion. As New testament believers we owe everything to Jesus. We may not have to give 100% of our income but we may. Jesus said it is more blessed to give than to receive, but it is still a blessing of God to receive.

If Melchizedek is the son of Adam, and he met Abraham. That means, not only 8 person was saved from the flood (Noah and his family). And how did Melchizedek survive during the flood if his not in the ship? Thats why i think This theory cannot be true. And the salvation of Noah and his family cannot be use as forshadowing of Christ. Because someone can be save without the ship or without Christ.
