Meldaproduction has a huge collection of free plugins called the MFreeFXBundle that sound incredible but have ugly interfaces when compared with expensive plugins. Its my estimation that folks gravitate towards expensive premium plugins not because of how they sound but rather how they look. Melda plugins sound just as good if not better than premium plugins and are completely free. In this video I create a bass sound that has rad movement and interest generated by only using melda plugins from the mfreefxbundle.

am i the only one who thinks melda productions plugins are just fine the way they are? just clean without all the crap

The problem is that they are not “clean” from the UI. They are a hot mess. Of course depending n the plugin. EQs are fine or plugins with not so many parameters. But more complex plugins, very difficult to get around. Or the labelling in some of them is confusing. E.g. MTurboComp not like standard compressors.

I think they're really clever and well eh, just learn how they work and you'll be a music producer and they all have a similar form and the excess of really useful modules integrated, I wish I had have know at the start, they do everything, and more and things we haven't even thought of yet.....amazing....

Worth mentioning that you can pay for the free bundle, which removes the restrictions on the window resizing and also removes the banners. It's a small price for such an amazing bundle!

Ha, I installed Melda’s free plug-ins a while back, saw how bland they looked, so, of course I did not use them. And so, as per usual and like your courses, you have opened my eyes and ears to what is important. Congratulations as well to your new subscription milestone!

I think that for most people, especially at beginner and intermediate levels, marketing has great value because the person doesn't know exactly how to use the tool, nor what it's actually for. Melda is excellent, but on this educational point they still drop the ball. Luckily we have people like you who help us understand details and make better use of what is available for music making. Yep... dont't sleep on Melda's Tuner as well... It's free and it's polyphonic (meaning: you tune all the strings at once).. people pay a lot of money for pedals with this feature
