I haven’t performed the rings for years...ordered this set and became a member for your abridged tutorial. Wow! So excited to share this timeless effect with audiences again. No more fear of the key ring 🙌🏻

Thank you for this. I was at Disneyland for the first time in a few decades and bought these from the magic shop, having never done rings, and I’m super stoked for the kit and the teaching (and will come learn your ninja routine shortly)

Do you think one could use Merlero rings with Ninja +. Don't want to explain why my rings are slightly different sizes
@OBrienMagic Жыл бұрын
I would not recommend it. I for the sake of consistency, I would exclusively use Matthew Garrett’s ring sets together when performing his routines. It is possible but the size difference may draw suspicion!

Michael, may I ask what the performing angles are?
@OBrienMagic3 жыл бұрын
Everything can be performed surrounded for the most part like any other ring routine. For the open display however your audience needs to be pretty much dead in front of you.

Great Review Michael lol I was fooled when this first came out thinking it was a key-less/gap-less system. So pleased when Matthew showed me his GiR you can show the rings linked and separated very fairly and even hand them out linked or unlinked his rings are awesome I now own the whole set 😊👍

One more question mate, you can use shoot ogawa ninja rings with ninja +? Same size? Keep up good work, great job on Penn teller
@OBrienMagic Жыл бұрын
No worries!!!! Same size, not the same style though they look different. I wouldnt recommend it.

I'm loving the rings, but I'm having a really hard time performing the one-handed link. I want to change the key ring to make it easier, but that might compromise the Melero display.
@OBrienMagic3 жыл бұрын
You can open and close the gap to your preferred width. Matthew Garrett has a nice practice routine to help you get used to the one handed link. Let me see if I can find it here.

Hi Michael, Great review. I have a set and wish it included all the rings for a "standard" set. Great new idea for the key ring that can be used as part of your regular ring routine. It just needs the other four rings. Well worth the price!
@OBrienMagic3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, not sure I understand what you mean. The set does come with 4 rings. It is a complete 4 ring closeup set. Only difference is the modified key ring. Maybe I misunderstood your comment. Let me know!
@blakesmagic3 жыл бұрын
To my understanding, a standard set of rings includes 3 linked together, 2 linked together, 2 singles, and one key. It's a great routine. I just wish it had these other rings.
@OBrienMagic3 жыл бұрын
@@blakesmagic a standard 8 set yes. :) you are correct. This is a standard closeup set of 4 rings. Most closeup sets only come with 4 rings. But I agree it would be cool to have this method work with an 8 ring set!

Is the gimmick better than a locking or magnetic key ring?
@OBrienMagic2 жыл бұрын
The gimmick does not function at all the same way as a locking key so not sure I can answer that objectively.

Hey Michael, thanks for the review. I loved you performance on Fool Us. Since I bought the Melero Rings, would you feel comfortable combining the Rings with your Ninja Gimmicks or is the size difference to weird? Thanks!
@OBrienMagic2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! And no I wouldnt mix and match them. The size difference is very apparent.

Nicely elaborated. Feels like a really honest review. I couldn't wait however, and ordered a set, haha. But I'm genuinely surprised, and almost happy that it isn't more mechanical than I thought it would be. Less > More !
@OBrienMagic3 жыл бұрын
I agree. I think anything too mechanical would have messed with the handling. Been more restrictive.
