Yes this is a quiet relaxing place. Beautiful grounds, pool and beach. Rooms are getting a bit tired but still fairly nice. Food was a bit hit and miss. Some meals were very good and some just ok, nothing was bad and pretty good variety from night to night at dinner buffet. Ala carte reservations were pretty easy to get (I was there 1st week of April 2023). Overall food was pretty good by all inclusive standards. I agree with comment below, definitely not amazing but few all inclusives have amazing food without paying substantially more than what this resort costs. The breakfast/lunch buffet has gorgeous view of beach/ocean. If you book 5-6 months in advance this place is good value for $. ( I paid $1800 CDN person/week from Toronto including airfare, transfers and all taxes) I would have no issues going back again. If you like name brand/premium liqour you want the level upgrade. The non level bars are local brands only and aside from rum they aren't great. (You can buy premium bottles from the bars but you have to buy by the bottle not by the shot and they are very expensive). If you want liqour to have in your room or to take home buy it at duty free at airport because other than rum its much more expensive at the local shops than at the airport. If like most people you spend most of your time by the pool and/or beach book a beach side room as they are much closer to beach/main pool and the breakfast/lunch buffet and the level bar/restaurant. Poolside rooms which oddly are nowhere near the pool are a fair trek from the beach and main pool but they are closer to main lobby, Dinner buffet and most of the ala carte restaurants. Trolleys aren't too much of a wait if you don't like to walk from one area to another. Probably a 15 min walk from lobby to beach. If you buy anything from beach vendors or the shops along the beach they are VERY negotiable. I bought a box of ten small Cohiba cigars and the guy started out at 90USD and i got them for $15 in one of the shops and also bought another box of the same cigars from a vendor walking the beach later in the day for $10. My wife was looking at a few pieces of jewelry they wanted $150 for we offered $40 and they said no so we walked away and they ran after us and said they'd take $45.

If you stay here it’s a place to relax. The SPA is very nice. It’s a quiet resort and older. Food was not amazing.

Good morning, thank you for the video , it very nice.we are planniing to go at the Mélia resort soon, i was wondering if you reserve a taxi from the airport to the resort or you just take one at the airport.. thanks

Thank you for this! Headed there soon and it’s been a struggle finding good overviews. Loved yours. Just wish I could find more videos on the quality of the food overall. Great one though!
