I am confused between Melia Caribe, Grand Bavaro Princess and Riu Palace Punta Cana. We are a family of 3. Our daughter is 13 and loves adventure, especially waterparks. The only one I feel as far the waterpark that would entertain her is Riu, but not sure how the food is in any of these places. My husband love to eat Indian, and I think that Grand Bavaro has a good Indian restaurant from other research I have done, but unaware of the Riu (I know Melia doesn't have the option). Also are day passes given for the waterparks in other resorts in the DR? Also out of the 3 and from research I think the Grand Bavaro has a win on both looks, food and beach? Is that accurate?

This is an excellent video. We are booked in The Level Junior Suite this summer and I have been trying to figure out how they split The Level from the family part. Your video explains everything so well. Is there a pool bar at The Level pool?

If I'm not mistaken you will not have a nice area view. Because the buildings are 2 stories and the palms are high and there is lots of other beautiful trees. So they block the view. Yo will see the ocean from some rooms maybe but as far as I remember not really nice front view.

Yes you can go there because actually there's no fence or anything like that.

No, the level of the Meliá Caribe is on the side, but the level of Meliá Punta Cana Is next to the beach.

Looking to come here in January with my husband. Should we book Melia Punta Cana Level or Melia Caribe Level? Which side is livelier with more amenities? I know on the adult side if you book the level wellness, you get a 30 minute massage each day. Also, does the resort have a swim up bar?

Have you stayed at the occidental caribe? Would you suggest that for families or would you still prefer the melia over a resort like occidental? I am just worried with young kids always changing their mind we will constantly be walking at the melia.

Meliá is definitely better but occidental Caribe is twice cheaper normally. I've been to Occidental Caribe and for the price I paid it was very good.

Hello I’m going to this hotel tomorrow how is the situation with the tourist deaths and food poisoning situation I’m a bit worried and thinking about canceling and I’m safe? What has the government done to better to health and safety of tourist

Don't you worry about the food poisoning. We never know what really happened to those tourists. Why only several was poisoned and all the other tourists were ok? There were 2000 people in the hotel. Doesn't it seem strange to you? There is a version it was all politics. DR signed a contract with China which USA didn't like. So that to punish the Dominican Republic USA started this massive agitation in news that it's dangerous here, so that Americans do not come. So you never know. I work 14 years in Turismo here and I tell you - people die sometimes. Heart attack, car accident, drowned, even suicide, etc. In the company I worked we had up to 10 000 tourists per month. And never ever was any issue with poisoning. Never ever during 14 years of my experience. So just relax and don't read the news! Come here you will definitely enjoy it!
