Dominican here 👋🏼 crime here really isn't that bad well at least compared to other countries and these buildings are usually built in what we call the "safe areas"

You should be good. Cap Cana is prime and Vista Cana is also pretty good gated communities in the Punta Cana area. Your not going to have those kind of issues in those places. Trust me. I have a spot in Vista Cana.
