Letting us assume as she said that she "did nothing wrong" and everything bad was Bill's fault. She's good at such "lines". How on one meeting could Epstein come across "evil personified", I suspect that's a line calculated to make the listener sympathetic, but it doesn't ring true.

@Carol Watkins Because this has been going on for decades. Bill and Melinda are just the latest ones. George soros was part of the conspiracy train back during the bush administration. New world order is linked to every president since Reagan. People believing in old conspiracies in new contexts. I suspect it all goes back well before the country was founded. He hasn't said his side of the story about the things she did that he didn't like. No one is perfect in a relationship. She wasn't perfect for 27 years of their marriage. That is a fact. 3. It's a lie she had nightmares about his meetings with that sex offender. He was his financier. They had proffesional meetings. 3. She embarrassed her family especially the children they had by speaking about their father in public and filing for divorce. She broke the family, not him. She is selfish because she thought of her feelings and not the impact to their children even if they are rich. 4. She is OLD. Only a BROKE man will date her. She will pay for the dates and even he will cheat on her. There is nothing out here for her. Saying that she hopes to fall in love again is laughable and wont make Bill jealous 😂😂. One thing not mentioned is she filed for divorce after her youngest child turned 18. Even in the midst of her own personal pain and unhappiness she held off long enough for her kids to reach adulthood with an intact family. They could have coparented extremely easily with no financial restrictions and afforded her kids the best therapy money can buy, but she spared them the destruction of childhood divorce. That is very admirable of her.
@litalpeled20552 жыл бұрын
I disagree. You do not protect your kids when staying in an unhappy marriage. You are their model for what a relationship should be and should look like. So a cold home, with bickering, bitterness and lack of love is not a very good model

I don’t agree. Sometimes staying in an unhappy marriage hurts children a lot more. There is that old saying “children would rather be from a broken home then in a broken home.”
@SL-lz9jr2 жыл бұрын
I understand it’s intended to be a compliment towards Melinda and I think I know what you’re trying to say, or where the sentiment comes from, but it is a little misguided. It sends the wrong message that any spouse or partner needs to stay in a bad, unhealthy, or toxic (and at worst, abusive) relationship in order not to “traumatize” or “break up the family”. It puts the onus and the blame on the spouse or partner who wants to leave, as if they are a home wrecker for divorcing. Children are sensitive and can pick up on any tension in the household. Sometimes that creates anxiety or uncertainty and can lead to mental health or psychological problems in the child. Of course, depending on the situation, it’s quite possible for two loving and responsible and respectful parents to legally separate or divorce while still living under the same roof or adjoining roofs so they can still coparent together physically. I know of spouses who move into the basement, an in-law unit above the garage, the pool/guest house, or whatever so both parents can still be there for their children in the morning before school and be there for them after school. For those who can manage that maturely, it’s totally great for the children. It minimizes the negative impact of a divorce or separation. They don’t have to yo-yo between one parent’s house and the other house. In essence it keeps the family unit relatively intact, but it also allows the parents to lead separate lives and not be entangled to one another if they are no longer fit to be together. But these kinds of families are usually not dealing with the extreme end of a toxic pendulum. They’re probably on the lower end where toxicity is concerned. Or they have to be really mature adults who will not fight in front of the kids and won’t bad mouth the other parent to their kids, even if in truth they hate each other’s guts. That’s hard to do for most of us.

1. No billionaire is going to be faithful to one woman even Kings had concubines. If I become rich like him, I will cheat too, it is what it is. Men are faithful as our options and financial means. What's important is we don't show it in public. 2. The man doesn't speak about her. High value and even up and coming men PREFER younger women. She can't compete with YOUTH. Bill will still get younger women because younger women date older men 5. This woman is so authentic and sets boundaries kindly but very, very clearly when asked questions by Gayle King that are no one’s business but the Gates family, or even perhaps Bill & Melinda’s alone. I Love that she defers questions regarding Bill’s behavior to him. Shows respect for herself and her children without name-calling or being insulting. I so appreciate her impressions of Jeffrey Epstein. Her statement about “regretting walking into the room from the first moment” and that he personified evil lends real credence to the statements made by all of his victims. I do not consider Melinda French Gates a “hysterical” or hyperbolic woman. You can feel her pain she talks about how she gave everything she had to her marriage. @bannedbycommieyoutube5time9202 жыл бұрын
@@mrs.christina111 1. Men and women cheat at similar rates, contrary to popular relief 2. The divorce rate in the USA is roughly 50%. Women initiate somewhere between 70-80% of divorces. This is an appalling statistic. Assuming there are roughly equal numbers of good, loyal partners of both sexes, one would think who is initiating divorce would be roughly split between men and women, but it’s simply not. As such, women need to look themselves in the mirror due to that damning statistics. Women are quitting, not men. The marriage rate, which is the lowest in history, and single motherhood, which leads to far worse outcomes (on average) than intact families, is the highest it’s ever been. Women are the primary culprits and need to take the lions share of the accountability as they are creating these issues most of the time.

She gave birth to beautiful kids one’s pursuing medicine to become a doctor and help save lives. So while you insult her for having “man-like” traits, what’s wrong with that? Haven’t you heard of androgynous females? Bodybuilders have the same, and other ethnicities. No one’s laughing at your own insult. It comes back to you as one uneducated person online. You can tell her that if you are that crass and uncultured. Don’t bother telling me, coz I have better things to say and do than waste my time insulting women. I don’t insult Melinda just to make myself feel better.

Rick, please respect me and my comment as a woman. Enough said. I am not here to engage a war between Venus and Mars. You do you, and I can speak my mind about the topic at hand, it’s Melinda’s story on point here. Her pain during the divorce which I, as a woman, felt and identity with x you can talk about your pain with your counselor and let other women empathize with another. Empathy is a good skill for MEN since you are at it. Learn that regardless of gender, why don’t you?
@tillyfreeman51922 жыл бұрын
I said what I said and I meant it for Melinda or other women who have experienced the same, as a woman! Go away. You can rephrase your own words! And don’t nitpick people’s opinions. You are ridiculous. Who said it’s only men you’re totally off tangent! Can you believe yourself? You are making it about who cheats more and gender wars? How pathetic is that. And you are a man? LOL No surprise there. Pushy and abrasive. You say this you should have said this and that WOW just wow

🤦🏻♀️ The context Rick, context. It’s about Melinda and I, being a woman myself, empathize with her and her pain in divorce, as she has been cheated on and more while married to BG! Is there anything wrong with that? You can speak about your own “you think women don’t cheat etc” arguments with another. That’s not what I posted and you can clearly see that. People nowadays need to develop some deeper comprehensive reading skills. 😂 you can’t argue with stupidity.

She's very brave to do this interview. I've watched other interviews with Melinda before the divorce and am seeing an entirely different side to her. Whatever she's been doing on her healing journey since, it looks amazing on her! She handled that interview with class and I love that she laid the gauntlet at Bill's feet, to answer the questions about himself. Perfectly done!

She's remarkable. If her husband was unfaithful to HER, what chance do the rest of us have? If she wants love again, I hope it happens for her. She's a truly remarkable person. I was divorced years ago. I wish I'd have recovered as quickly as she seems to have. And SO glad she doesn't blame herself.

When trust is gone very difficult to repair a marriage. That is the foundation of marriage. When it goes... the house of cards crumble. Good for her. "Not one thing".... which means she KNOWS she deserves better even if better is being single, serene, enjoying her adult children and her wife and mothering of young kids years behind her. Freedom is everything ... freedom from living with a disloyal spouse but freedom to be HER.

Wonderful interview. Melinda French is an admirable woman a survivor and to see her not dwelling on the past but moving forward in the right direction in a very positive way is sure uplifting. I too would have never thought about these two people ever divorcing, they seemed to have it all. Melinda looks happy and life will reward her even more. Being positive and giving to the world will multiply her life ten fold. As for her ex..good riddance.

I appreciate Melinda's candor and the lesson in it for me. I think most women in this situation, when they first find out the details that point to "the end" of their relationship, they tend to view their relationship as "dying", when, in reality, it has already died or these things wouldn't be there to be discovered. Breach of contract and personal betrayal by the person you thought so highly of, are so painful. To me, this is why it is important every day, to make sure what two people have between them is maintained "alive", because once it's dead, it cannot be revived in my experience. Thank you for your honesty, Melinda. You're an extraordinary person. What you just taught me is immense. Thank you!
