I WANT ARES SO BADLY sorry I'll stop yelling. If they don't bring him in for either the next major patch and/or release I'm going to riot. First of all, they have literally every other Olympian ingame, and Olympus is literally at war. Secondly, I just miss blade rifts so badly. can you imagine turning your cast into a giant stationary blade rift? Combined with Demeter's "Omega cast moves with you" or Apollo's "Your cast grows larger" boons it'd be nutso. Gah Ares was my favorite in Hades 1 so it's so sad for me personally that he's not in the sequel (yet)

Poseidon’s reaction is so heartwarming. I imagine Hades and Persephone sent word to Olympus when Melinoe was born. I can only imagine the devastation the Olympians felt when they heard about the Underworld’s fall, especially after the reconciliation party thrown in the first game.

She acts differently than the others this time. Her encounters are more akin to a fusion of Thanatos and Hermes from Hades 1, so she's no longer part of the normal god boon pool.

I haven't actually seen any god trials in the stuff I've seen of Hades 2. Nor does the idea of it really make sense for the narrative of this one. In Hades 1, the stakes are more so on the familial level. It's not unexpected that everyone is getting in their shots at each other. But in Hades 2, the fate of the world order is at risk. It's not just the abusive grandfather refusing to be shut out, but an entity higher than the gods (known for eating his own children, might I add) back for revenge and to take over the world order. Regardless of the usual Olympus drama & feuds, they all have a common enemy that is far more important to deal with. Even Hestia, the one known for keeping out of the usual hoopla, is getting involved to do her part.

In Hades 2, you know it's just a game and they make Zagreus is Melinoe's older brother. However in Greek Mythology, Zagreus is Melinoe's YOUNGER brother because Melinoe (Princess of the Underworld) was born AFTER Macaria (Nymph of the Underworld) and BEFORE Zagreus (Prince of the Underworld).
