The successful media demonising and toppling of Corbyn was led by state broadcaster BBC. Only a rightwing-led Labour Party, party like Blair's New Labour, is allowed to govern. The UK is, in effect, a one-party state. Tony Benn pointed out this system was engineered to prevent the possibility of a government for the many not the few. The energies of the many good people working for a fair and just society should be directed at fighting for a republic, no matter how long or how hard. It's the only realistic option - other than a bloody revolution - to effect the necessary radical change. Anything less will always end in bitter disappointment.

The UK is increasingly authoritarian, in goosestep with the US, EU etc. That's why Establishment will ensure stormtrooper Starmer is the next PM because he's more authoritarian than many Tories. During the Covid-19 lockdowns, Starmer was demanding more stringent restrictions than the Tories were imposing. Out of 650 MP’s, Starmer was the only one invited to become a member of the US rightwing neo-con's Trilateral Commission. An organisation that believes, we, the people, have too much freedom, too much democracy. Like the corporate-controlled US, the UK is fake democracy fraudulently disguised as real democracy. Tory or Labour governments are chosen by the Establishment dependent on which best benefits the agenda of the Establishment, war industry etc. Propped up and enabled by mainstream media owned and controlled by rightwing billionaires. Plus, state broadcaster BBC, the propaganda-wing of the UK Establishment, war industry etc.

Such people of the stalwart calibre of Jeremy Corbyn come along but fleetingly in historical terms. A man totally realistic of the flawed human traits of his detractors but willing to stand up and be counted. He is undoubtedly a national treasure. I know he will be counted in historical terms but his messages need to be acted on NOW whilst so many are suffering, be it in poor housing, unhoused, a refugee from countries where there have been wars for profit, or those that have struggled with the debts of tertiary education, or those who have suffered from deliberate running down of our NHS to make the for profit sector more likely to get their way. I am not the only one who recognises wisdom and I can see that this man has much more to give our nation. Blair and Starmer have no hinterlands from which their morality and integrity was formed, they are swayed by the neoliberal bum rash which infects the world currently but which has clearly failed and is burning itself out naturally because it is so unfair to the majority of all populations.

He didn't go to our school but was chauffeured to the posh boys school in Shrewsbury. He came from a pretty privileged wealthy background. Not that that's an issue that he should be ashamed of, after all none of us pick our origions but interesting how he plays this down. He's no Tony Benn. Benn was a true intellectual and couragiouse enough to be honest. Corbyn is several leagues below.

Because he isn't antisemitic and the loss of the elections is down to petit-bourgeois scum hammering the only slim chance we had at sone form of progressive government. Admitted his weakness is also to blame, but that just means a similar leader in the future should learn from this and clear out the Blairite dogs much more ruthlessly and replace with real working class fighters
