This really is a quintessential coming out song. I was peeking out of the closet when this came out, and me and my queer friends would dance and sing it at the top of our lungs in the Rainbow Room (RIP last women's bar in our county).

I used to LOVE 💕 this song! Rod Stewart was a crush of mine for awhile, and this song took me by happy surprise. This was back in high school. Now, with Melissa singing one of my favorites from way back,...wow! Amazing! Love 💕 you, Melissa!

Well Melissa anyone who is anyone belts that song out with balls out whether we mean it romantically or not. You did a good job here with just a guitar. I like how you played the mandolin part! If you want to make the lyrics any more personal you can remember this was about Rod losing is V card to a woman twice his age and then getting tossed aside. I don't wish that despair on anybody aaaaand I dont think you have to love a girl named Maggie to mean it when you sing it. I thank heaven for the story and the song because Rod is my fav and MM launched his solo career.
