Intercultural workshop for all health care professionals in palliative care and for everyone who is going to die one day...

Why is spiritual care important at the end of life? How is spirituality manifested in this phase of life and how can we respond to this? How do we do this in our Western palliative care? What are our accomplishments in this domain and where are our blind spots?
In this workshop we start a dialogue with another (Eastern) tradition looking for answers to these questions. By bringing the Western approach to end of life care and ancient Eastern wisdom together we want to reach a more complete palliative care of high quality that is heartwarming for palliative patients, their family and the health care professionals.
Here are some of the topics that will be covered:
*Anatomy of the energetic body (chakras, auras, location of the soul) and its importance for end of life care
*What happens on the physical and energetic level during the dying process?
*The difference between mind and soul and the importance of this distinction for end of life care
*The value of forgiveness and how to do this
*unconditional acceptance and purity in care
*a spiritual look at euthanasia and suicide
Practical information
Lecturers are Rahul Bharti (spiritual teacher from Nepal), Dr. Arsène Mullie (medical doctor and pioneer of palliative care in Belgium), and Dr. Alexander Verstaen (psychologist and author). The workshop is also supported by Melissa Kok (nurse).
Rahul Bharti teaches from his home base in Kathamandu (Nepal). The workshop will be online using the Zoom platform. After registration you will receive a zoom link.
The workshop will take place on four Saturday mornings (9-13hr CET) on the following dates): October 2nd, 9th, 23rd and 30th. No problem in case you cannot attend one or more sessions: All the sessions are recorded and can be watched afterwards.
The workshop is in (accessible) English.
