Fact of the matter is, ETH has a year left of his contract. Sacking him now seems like a big risk. You're getting rid of a manager who has brought 2 trophies in 2 seasons under difficult circumstances with injuries, pending sale of the club and poor player behaviour. The potential replacements are people who have failed at smaller clubs or won promotion with even smaller club than united. Not to forget paying ETH compensation for sacking him when the club is skint. The longer ineos drag this out, the more uncertainty it brings to players and fans. Come out and back the manager and get working on which players need to leave and signings to come in. Otherwise Sir Jim is no better than the glazers have been IMO.

As for the De Zerbi, Tuchel, McKenna links, i think they are genuine, but not for an immediate takeover. We're simply interviewing the candidates now so that if / when ETH leaves we are already ahead in the recruitment of a replacement. The Glazers have sacked managers in the past without having a plan in place. Ineos wont do that.

It wasn't a good season. But there were a lot of injuries. The fa cup final was the first time players were fit again. It was a tactical masterclass despite City not being their best. ETH at least deserves one more season to see what he can do with fit players. Continuity is also important here even though there are other available coaches.

Trying to implement a high pressing risky style in this club is a huge task. ten Hag is doing this while having so much stuff to deal with off the pitch and the squad is still very imbalanced. If Ineos doesn't wanna keep ten Hag then they need the next manager to accomplish something the next year or the fans will turn on Ineos. Most fans seem to be behind ten Hag. Looking at the development of the youth and how big a task the club has with recruitment it wouldn't hurt to let ten Hag stay out his contract.
