Give Thomas Seyfried the noble prize. Cancer is a metabolic disease not a genetic. We can Starve cancer. We need medicine to block glucos and glutamin.

I also was obsessed with researching and reading every single study I could get my hands on. I was advised by oncologists not to bother with a genetic test as I had no family history, however I did one and discovered I was ATM gene positive, which doesn’t respond well to radiation or chemo. My oncologist had been looking to do radiation as my treatment, and were warning me away from mastectomy. However in doing my own research I discovered mastectomy was the best option, so that’s what I did. And just like you, I researched some amazing supplements to take for the DCIS I had (DIM, Vitamin C, selenium…). I’m so thankful I was my own advocate and found out the best path for me. Every person really needs to research like they’ve never researched before, it makes all the difference!

Yes to researching for yourself! It's so frustrating because we feel the MDs should be the experts but it's true that no one cares about our life like we do. Claire, your story is amazing! I can't find your email - do you mind reaching out to maggie (at) cancerV.me 💙💙

@clairecawthorn1989 - regarding the ATM gene. I have what they call a “variant of unknown significance” and they’ve not tied it directly to anything but claim it is potentially involved in breast and pancreatic cancer … I’m wondering where you found out that ATM is not responsive to chemo or radiation? Please let me know. My mother is 74 and has just been diagnosed TNBC Stage 2a with sentinel lymph node positive. She does not want to do chemo and may forego radiation.

@@cruisemermaid1284 March2024 I am 65 dealing with stage 4 TNBC. My Onco put me on gemzar and carbo chemos. Been treated 2 weeks on…1 week off since Aug 2023. Also take Keytruda once every 3 weeks. The treatment has been rough, but my scans show improvement. I also take legal THC when I am not taking Keytruda. Your gmother might benefit from a few rounds of treatment even if she doesn’t want to do all her doctor recommends. Also there are FB support groups she can join to get encouraged and info. I pray your gmother is healed. I trust God to heal me & also know I need to do my part. Blessings to you both. What a sweet gdaughter you are to study to find answers for her.

I am taking this path as you did after being diagnosed HER2 negative progesterone estrogen positive although mine is not as dire as yours I have already shrunk my tumor with the alternative protocols and haven’t even started the remaining alternative protocols.
