Hi Melissa I’m a big dance moms fan and have 2 questions! 1) abby says that she never wanted chloe to win in s8 so wouldn’t that mean that all of her solos against maddie were set up to fail? 2) many people are saying that maddie didn’t actually win the competition where maddie and chloe have the same solo and that the producers made the judges change the scores, is this true? did chloe actually win or was it maddie?

i commented a question already but would also take a moment to say a few things. first and foremost, i’m loving the look today! the sweater vest is so cute and the way your nails match it perfectly is radiating barbie vibes. secondly, i’ve always really enjoyed your personality. it’s so refreshing to watch your videos now and hear you be so encouraging and positive after the environment you guys were all in. i couldn’t imagine the manipulation behind the scenes. i always think back to a clip i saw of ashlee and brynn where ashlee was talking about how kenzie was always the sweetest, kindest, most supportive kid on the team. she was just gushing about how lovely kenz is and it’s always spoken volumes to me because its a compliment of the deepest form from someone who didn’t compliment you or your girls often at the time. as someone who is sure to be as kind as possible, i was raised by a ride or die supportive and kind momma. my mom has taught me how to be a naturally nurturing and kind person because she raised me as a kind woman. point being, you’re doing a great job so far.

“You could’ve left the show” people really don’t know how this works do they? Once you sign into contracts, the entertainment industry especially can be mindblowingly dismissive and cruel to those who don’t or can’t fulfill the contract. As well… people tend to downplay their traumas while they’re happening. I don’t think it’s fair to say these moms are bad or evil because they didn’t take their daughters out of it sooner. Yes, I say that I would’ve. Most of us do. But at the same time it became a career. This was how some of them made money and became a bear full time thing. And all the parents thought this would be such an asset and so incredible towards the girls future. College savings, exposure, job training, etc. It must’ve been a very confusing time to be in.
