January 2024: this machine is in use daily for 4 years now, no issues at all so far. Minor minuses: it uses quite a bit of coffee beans, it drops very wet used coffee tablet (couldn't fix that) and grounded coffee somehow appears on the inside of machine which is hard to clean. Major plus: its super easy to use and maintain daily. Decalc/deep clean programs are also not difficult to perform and only required once in 3 months in my case. I also use water filters or filtered water and good cleaning/decalc tablets

@@technosavvyhd5270 no, not after regular basic cleaning. The only visible place with grease inside the machine is easily accessible if you decide to go with a deep cleaning one day.

For drinks you can choose the drink volume using the left rotating regulator. Min is 25ml (espresso) and max is 220ml (americano). I chose medium on the video. For cleaning the machine uses the same amount every time.

​@@davidherrada2463yes, the same amount every time when turning off. It won't clean itself if you turn it on and don't run a coffee program and it also won't clean after each coffee cup if you make more than 1

I had Delonghi Venezia- no such water control. After 250 litres (960 cycles-cups) the machine is useless. Meliitta uses a hard water control- is very 😊 good

How is this for strong espressos? Can it do a thick real crema

Depends on coffee beans quality I guess, but generally - not really. This is a quite decent machine which designed to give you fast and easy some average caffeine, not specialty coffee. For a real thick crema look for expensive stuff or Espresso machine (with Portafilter etc)

Quite nice for usual coffee drinkers, mainly depends on quality of beans. Also, you can regulate the strength (button on the main panel) and grinding fineness (manual regulator inside)

The grinder is shit. The coffee flows too fast through the puck and the espresso tastes sour even with fresh beans, grinder set to finest (had to break the seal). Even with ’3-beans’ light on it still just rushes through the coffee puck.

@@firbli that is fair comment, this machine is definitely not for specialty coffee lovers. It's for very decent drinkers like me - I don't drink black coffee, for latte it's more than enough. Or for those who don't care much about coffee taste (as my partner, who drinks black, but also thinks that Starbucks is "good")
