You got a cracking day for it mind and two Fells I still need to climb for the first time. That scree looks like an accident waiting to happen and every video I see of these fells people always start from Loweswater but with the true summit and Hen Comb on the other side of the scree/steep side, I always wonder why people do not tackle both from Buttermere and miss out the scree altogether, going up and down the same way (the Buttermere side)🤔. Whenever I do get around to doing both of these I hope I get the same conditions, the footage was superb! Cheers Alan

Thanks Alan we were actually thinking about doing it from Buttermere but we decided to do it from Loweswater because its a part of the lakes i hadn't been before so made it a circular route it was just short of 8 mile and its got a cracking little pub for when you finish. The loose scree was bad but surprisingly not as bad as it looks its not as bad as red pike and it doesn't go on for long so apart from the first bit it reminded me a bit of ullock Pike. Its a brilliant fell and some of the best views in the lakes from the wainwright top the north top also brilliant views i would recommend doing it the way i did it thanks for watching Alan 👍
