காலம் கடந்து நிற்கும் கண்ணதாசன் வரிகள் நாளும் தொடர்ந்து வரும் சொன்ன அவன் வழிகள் சோகம் தீர்ந்து போகும் எண்ண அழுத்தன் மொழியில் என்னையும் எழுத வைத்த சொற்செல்வன் அவன் கவியில்! கண்ணதாசன் ஒரு விடுதலை விரும்பி - அவன் நம்மை நாள்தோறும் குளிப்பாட்டும் கருத்தியல் அருவி ! கவியரசன் புகழ் பாடுவோம்! அதே அவன் வரிகளில் "அதோ அந்த கவிஞன் போல பாட வேண்டும் இதோ அவனில் கலையைக் கொண்டு ஆட வேண்டும்".
