Pretty inspirational. Not just the climbing (which is nearly always the case with mellow videos) but the cinematography too. The fact that the highest picture quality is 720 and the low res style lends to how far you can go with skill and creativity with any camera and editing software. So cool.

If they posted indoor gym V2s and "tips for beginners, how to climb V4" they'd probably triple their subscribers. This is not a knock on Mellow or beginner channels; Mellow lovingly services a niche and does it incredibly well with a pastiche of early climbing/skate films and hard sends, which is perfect but extremely specific. Channels catering to the algorithm, and casting a wide net tend to be less specific and, in my opinion, not as entertaining or memorable. Magnus Mitbo has done incredible work as a climber but admits that his outdoor vids get half the views of his Tiktok challenge videos, he has a million subscribers but never would if he posted content like Mellow. I hope mellow keeps getting their vision out there! 😊

@@mirosteibruchmatteli6708 It’s a counter culture style now, an opposition to the big “block buster esque” style of climbing movies. Similar in vein to skater culture. Sure it’s not everyone’s style but personally I like seeing a new style of climbing movie. Too many climbing videos are too dramatic in story telling. Just my opinions on it though :)
