Would be cool to see more of the chord progression -- I notice in the arrangement view there are some with added tones, sevenths etc. I find that these warmer analogue pads tend to sound super muddy the more notes you add unless you turn on oscillator sync in Diva, so I'm curious how this worked out. Maybe this approach of playing a triad with the third transposed up an octave spreads them out sufficiently for this not to be a problem.

PML is amateur work bro, using 3 notes and trying to reproduce bad music for the last 10 years lol smth

@@jslg7641 Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but if you think the artists PML chooses to focus on in their educational content are bad or amateurish, then your opinion is literally worthless to me. Out of all the content I've found on the internet, these guys pump out competent sound design and start-to-finish videos focusing on many of my favourite producers, with believable end results. Maybe they're not trying to be Stimming, David August or Nils Frahm but I'm sure I could play most of this content out and nobody would bat an eye. As a DJ I even used to play some of Francois' work a few years back before PML existed, which is one of the reasons I found them credible to begin with. If you want to put out some less amateurish instructional content of your own, please go ahead. Maybe we could all learn something.

Hi François, thanks for the video. But it still sounds denser on their drums. Synthesizers are cool too. Don't get me wrong, but I've watched a lot of your videos and have never heard that dense sound like those of those musicians. I myself am trying to figure this out too. I would like to ask them, but it's not real. All the tracks in your videos sound too simple. Need processing. But this is exactly what no one says on KZbin.

@Matteo Luigiodaro (or Ashley) Ok, thanks for your spicy comments. I'm btw in a completely different business. PML has built an audience of over 1 Million producers across different channels, doing educational videos FOCUSSED on USING AS LITTLE 3rd party software outside of Ableton AS POSSIBLE, and offering it as a platform for professional artists. So our target with this content isn't the beatport 100, our target is releasing content for the producer who is using Ableton Live and maybe one or two more plugins and wants to get an idea on how to approach this sound. Of course we don't get U-He Satin tapemachine sound, if we don't use it, same goes for using Ozone etc. And regarding our target audience, we've released more than 3000 videos and have more than 100 million views across all platforms - which I consider slightly higher than "never released anything". Bottom line: My current goal is not necessarily the same as your goal, my measure of success might be different from yours.
