As another native English speaker, I’m here to explain the relationship between bison in the city of Buffalo using only a single word. “Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.” This sentence is grammatically correct, as it uses three different meanings of the word “buffalo” in the English language. The city, the animal, and a rather uncommonly-used verb.

Spoilers Kinda? While it does explore the idea of consumating romantic love with andriods ultimately the male and female lead (country boy, human. Beautiful girl, andriod) ultimately go the platonic route as consummating would wipe her memory. Why the creator decided to do that...who really knows? Seems needlessly cruel to both. Oh, and lets not forget the fact the creator left the decision whether to allow ANY andriods to have the ability to distinquish individuals to how the female lead got treated. It is supposed to be saccarine nonsense but hits that fridge logic hard once you really dwell on the thing after finishing

@@Frank_Art Certainly. The way it works is that "buffalo" has three different meanings in the English language. There's the city of Buffalo, NY, the animal called "buffalo", and an uncommonly used verb "to buffalo", which means "to bully, harass, or intimidate". Using these three, you can write this sentence: "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo." Using synonyms, we can rewrite it like this: "Buffalo bison Buffalo bison bully bully Buffalo bison." An extended version that sounds less confusing is: "Bison from Buffalo, which bison from Buffalo bully, also bully bison from Buffalo."

Theres tonnes of examples of Japanese having similar sounding words with different meanings, but usually differentiated by context and kanji. You would't usually expect, "Can you pass me some bridges?" Vs "Can you pass me some chopsticks?" Though it sounds the same. Ones that might be difficult even in context is something like "I'm allergic to oysters." vs "I'm allergic to persimmon." Sounds almost exactly the same.

there's a lot of them, jisatsu can be selfie or su*c*de, (though in kanji they are different) chikan is loosely translated as molesting/the act of molesting someone, particularly a woman, but can also be the word for substitution like for example suijou chikan hou, depending on the kanji used you either get 水上置換法 (water displacement method) or 水上痴漢法 (water molestation method)

Bricking is a Big problem in many parts of the US. It's to the point you need a license to carry building materials, and need to say exactly what you plan to do with them.

When a statue is built we say “a statue was erected” nothing sexual about it
@danielantony1882
@danielantony1882 7 ай бұрын
Same in JP. Even though it's a homophone. 建つ is to erect a building, which is Tatsu, but there's another Tatsu, 立つ which meana to stand upright. But… I think that one can be sexual as well…

Bro no one says that,the common word to describe it would be built,not erected.
@xerofire
@xerofire 6 ай бұрын
@@Honorbound19 Just incorrect. For example if a statue was built in 1872 it would be common for there to be a sign “This statute was erected in 1872 to commemorate…” stuff like that. Not that uncommon of a phrase.

The best part is that “buffalo” has three different meanings, and you can make a grammatically correct sentence with just the word “buffalo”. There’s “buffalo” the animal, “Buffalo” the place, and the verb “buffalo”, which means “to bully harass or intimidate”. Using these three, you can write this sentence: “Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.” In other words: “Buffalo bison that Buffalo bison bully also bully Buffalo bison.”
