I gave the video a like but that's far from enough. If I could I would give a thumbs up in person a million times over.... AND take him and his family out to dinner anywhere they choose. MAN!! This was a proper tutorial. Everything I know of sound production I learned from Warren, and definitely subscribing to the other channel too. Since my career started as kid, going to the studio was to either sing or play an instrument on someone's record. Now I started to record, mix and master on my own and I mean it when I say that Warren's channel and videos are worth more to me personally than my house, my car and even my Telecaster LOL!!! Thanks for introducing me to another extraordinary teacher.

Simply wow. I've been using Melodyne since version 2. They've come a long way since. It always amazes me at how it saves a take when the artist leaves my studio and how surprised the artist gets when they hear the end result. They always say something like, "oh wow, I sound really good!" If only they knew...but in response to some of the comments, I too find that it works best on good takes. The better the take, the more transparent the modifications become.

I work at a dubbing facility and use melodyne on 20-40 songs every month, and one thing I have found really speed up your workflow, is to go into settings and create key commands for all the different tools. I have assigned “a” for pitch tool, “s”, for pitch modulation, “d” for pitch drift,”f” for note seperation and so on. That way you don’t need to right click and select tool all the time. You just place your left hand on the keyboard and shift between tools with key commands. Huuuuge timesaver!

I hate sounding like a rookie and making rookie mistakes (even tho i am one!!!) but at 43 min in i heard that last phrase and almost immediately was like somethings weird, and then the second play really sounded weird and then you literally said 2 sec later that they were playing at the same time!!

This is so helpful. Thanks so much! Just one suggestion, when you are using menus or key commands, please verbalize it. Unless someone is watching on a 60+ inch monitor, it is not possible to see the selections you’re making. DAW fonts are notoriously small and 70% + of the KZbin audience is watching on mobile devices. It would be most helpful to know what selections you’re choosing bc I really cannot see.
