I love watching innovative M&P soap makers and you, my friend, are very innovative! While your soap designs are very different from mine, you inspire me to make more imaginative soap everytime I see your videos. :) Thanks so much for sharing and illustrating to others just how amazing M&P soap can be!

Beautiful and so creative, both in process AND product! I am going to try to do something similar soon for Valentine's Day in some variation of a lavender scent. Everyone I gift soap to has loved it and they all enthusiastically say "thank you - is this another 'inspired by Dean Wison' soap?"
@DeanWilson6 жыл бұрын
That is awesome. Thanks Louie :)

Dean, great soap and tutorial.... I have not studied up but am surmising that m and p is a very quick solidification time... do you need to cure it for a month like CP? Thanks Dean.... haven’t said so yet but am really encouraged by there being other men in this cottage industry... Cheers!
@DeanWilson5 жыл бұрын
It only need to cool before you can use it - unlike CP soaps where is takes 4-6 weeks to cure. Melt and Pour is ready once it's cold. If im making a loaf (1kg) then I cut it the next day and its ready to sell or use.

With your goats milk what temp do add FO and temp do you pour I have tried waiting till about 120-125 but I seem to get clumps even with stirring is 130 to high to work with
@DeanWilson5 жыл бұрын
It needs to be liquid when you add the fragrance so it can mix in. I normally add the fragrance at 135F. But it will differ depending on the base you use. Each supplier is different some some fragrances have a flashpoint so you need to check that too.

One of my friend brought me mica from USA it says for bath bombs.I had asked her to bring mica for cold process making. Can I use it for CP . Please reply.
@DeanWilson6 жыл бұрын
I don't know. Best to ask the supplier that sold it to her. If it's not it might stain the skin.

Hi Dean I am new and have enjoyed your videos, you are a great teacher! What are your pouring pots made of? Do you use stainless steel?
@DeanWilson6 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronda, I use a Aluminium Pouring Pot. And this is where I get mine. www.eroma.com.au/aluminium-pouring-pot/ I also use them for candle making.

how do you melt the bar soap because I tried but I found it turned to ash?
@DeanWilson6 жыл бұрын
Ash? You sure thats melt and pour soap base? Or are you talking about CP soap? I melt my melt & base in a crock pot with a double boiler.
@sarabennettnicolebrandt71569 жыл бұрын
Hi Dean! Can I ask how are you heating your soap?
@DeanWilson9 жыл бұрын
Sara and Nicole Bennett I use a crock pot with a pouring pot. The hot water in the crock pot heats up the pouring pot and melts the soap base. You can also use a Microwave for 30 second bursts.
@sarabennettnicolebrandt71569 жыл бұрын
Nice! I have never heard of a crock pot with a pouring pot. Thanks, have a great weekend!

These ate gorgeous swirls..Im Asma who subscribed to ur channel today morning. So swirls and embeds mean the same ??
@DeanWilson9 жыл бұрын
Love Redah Swirls are embeds. Any soap item you place inside your loaf or mold can be an embed. It means soap that was created to go into other soaps. Like hearts etc.
@vagbadalyan8 жыл бұрын
do you need to cure M&P soaps before using them(selling) ?
@DeanWilson8 жыл бұрын
If making a loaf like in this video, I was 12 hours, wrap them and they are ready to sell.

does this scent cause browning in melt & pour? it did in my soy candles
@DeanWilson7 жыл бұрын
Nope the fragrance doesn't make the soap brown. Not what from I can see anyway. I have some Japanese Honeysuckle soaps I make over 4 months ago and they are still pink and purple.
