I saw them in Poland around 2003. Maybe 2001. They came to tha shithole at the end of Poland. In tha bus. Kinda Scooby Doo bus... There were 4 of them with a tiny female bassist... And I didn't know what to expect... They played for around 20 people... It was one of a kind experience and I will never ever forget it

Basistka była epicentrum energii, mniejsza od swojej gitary, robiła nie mniejszy rozpierdol od noize-gitarzysty w masce, który skakał po wzmacniaczach jak w japońskiej gierce. Perkusista nadążał jak w japońskiej anime (One Piece). Na koncercie było pewnie bardziej 30 niż 20 osób. Głównym polskim składem uczestniczącym był stargardzki Plum, który grał przed Melt Banana na równoprawnych warunkach (a być może Woody Allien). Wydarzenie odbywało się w skazanym na opuszczenie domu kultury na środku trasy transportowej skazanej na równie prawdopodobne opuszczenie, skład Melt Banana był śmiertelnie poważny, to co tutaj widać jest cieniem tamtego składu. Plum przed nimi również wystąpił w mocnym składzie, chociaż to Melt Banana było gwoździem programu, a nie odwrotnie. Do dzisiaj opowiadam o tym koncercie mojemu znajomemu japońskiemu pankowcowi z Tokyo, który jest ojcem trójki dzieci w Warszawie, yo ps. tak to był ten skład kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnLYmJKLotiHnbM

Agata and Yako were always the only official band members. Their drummer changed pretty much every tour and album, and while Rikah played bass for them for over 20 years she was never an official member for some reason. So...while they certainly killed it as a full band, these two ARE Melt Banana and always have been.
