Yo Steven, this figure and destoroyah is easily Super7 best figures as of late. This meltdown godzilla is one of the best and depressing figures. They really did a fantastic job showcasing godzilla's final moment as he's melting down in the most painful way, you can see the sadness and anguish from Godzilla as he loses his life before he made his final act and released his remaining energy to save and revive his fallen son. The sculpt is spot on and so original, the clear plastic is very nice and by using a flashlight, it showcases the translucent body amazingly well, especially the head. The skull head is easily the best accessory and boy it is very effective. This figure is a must for collectors, this is a figure so original that you can't get meltdown godzilla like this anywhere!!!! Great review!!!!!!

Wish my review looked half as good. I wasn’t sure if the tail could be flush but I can see yours is. I’ve never done the boiling water technique, how hot and for how long do you submerge the figure? This would disrupt paint or glue?

Pretty much sums up why I snagged a pre-order when I first saw it. The earlier waves didn't really grab me, and I hadn't heard great things. Then this guy popped up and thought he was so cool and unique I had to go for it! Now to save up for that destoroyah too.

It would have been cool to get the smoke effects that the Burning Godzilla had but I understand why they wouldn't have included them but after nearly paying a hundred bucks...I still feel that I didn't get my monies worth. 😥😬😬Love the figure.

Instead of being snarky, I'll just come out to say it- they already did one. He was in wave 2 with Heisei MechaGodzilla. He was my favorite Super7 kaiju figure until this guy came out, and he's still my favorite 'regular' Godzilla figure. He's got a lot of presence to him, though the smoke effect parts can be a pain in the ass to keep on when moving him. @@dunkanbulk14

My bias talking: As cool as the idea of a melting Godzilla figure might sound this isn't worth getting for me. Its quality looks subpar for that price, typical of super7's ultimates figures. To be honest, I doubt s7 keep the Godzilla license for long, especially since Hiya it's making more Heisei stuff.
