@@ExodusCore it's a hypothetical situation lil bro it's not a real situation that would happen the point of the video is what if goji didn't realise shins regeneration ability and just walked away after beating him and shin can evolve to adapt like when he evolved to shoot lasers from his spikes to destroy the planes that were hurting him and if shin wasn't frozen at the last second he was evolving into the very things that were beating him humanoid creatures so your comment is incorrect and doesn't make much sense

The issue with Shin's regeneration and adaptation is that if Shin existed in the monster verse it would likely encounter other kaiju in between battles with legendary. Thus could either cause Shin to develop in unforseen ways possibly undoing its adaptation's to conquer legendary. And if legendary was able to kill Shin during an energy depletion cycle then wouldn't that hinder both it's regeneration and adaptation, giving Legendary enough time to retreat and heal its wounds? I know I'm late with the input but I really enjoy this type of speculation and you do it really well
@the-red-gaze11 ай бұрын
What I think would happen is that-while fighting other kaijus would maybe in some way undo it’s previous adaptations-shin would either override that evolution with something different that’s equal or better than the previous one, or just upgrade the original one. Shin still has to go off of some sort of base structure since it’s evolving. Also the beam doesn’t deplete, shin just simply overheats and has to stop using it to cool down. Because of how rushed its evolution was, the beam part didn’t evolve correctly, causing shin’s core to lose effectiveness and overheat. I’m pretty sure that you can see shin evolve a cooling system of some sorts or fix its core in the movie, since it uses its beam for longer periods of time or uses multiple beams, although I haven’t watched the movie in a while so I can’t confirm that.
@BlackghostLT11 ай бұрын
I'll leave my 2 cents since I finally watched Shin recently and have been checking out a bunch of info on it, don't know anything about legendary though so I'll leave that for you to consider. Shin's evolutions seemed to remain intact, kind of like a building block. Its ability to locomote on land, developing better skin for dealing with new threats (either the missile strikes or the introduction of undiluted UV rays, the Shin version has a lot of realistic approaches to it), finally gaining its atomic breath to deal with the bombers, it seems to keep these attributes as to continues to adapt. It evolves in every way to deal with new threats, both covering weakness and making new strengths to face threats, all the while maximizing its efficiency. That said, by your hypothetical it would perfectly be possible that Legendary would face a Shin with the experience of Legendary and all of its rivals at once. Additionally, if Legendary does retreat without fully killing Shin, that's a massive opening for Shin to reform itself to something suited to overcome Legendary, the best chance for Legendary would be a one-shot. Also, there is some supplementary material of what was planned for Shin to evolve into, one major part of these new forms was it shedding a lot of its weakness, like pain, emotion, and perfecting its power source. If shin finds its energy usage a problem, it can very well rapidly adapt its energy efficiency beyond the need for a massive cooldown, taking away that opening for Legendary. Shin's adaptability is scary because of how quick it can happen, and the fact that it theoretically doesn't have a ceiling. Shin's scrapped evolutions would have straight up send it to divine levels of power eventually, meaning even letting Shin live even a day could give it a massive edge. Legendary would be fighting against the clock, a force of nature battling against an infant god, or at the very least would have a reoccurring foe to deal with that got better every time. One could also wonder if Shin would evolve the way it did in the film, it could take an entirely different path in a world with other Kaiju as competition, something far faster and efficient for its environment. There's also a scrapped ending where Shin fully reforms itself from fallen skin left from the missile strikes, meaning unless it was killed at a cellular level Shin would simply return eventually, most likely adapted in equal measure. But that's just a theory ツ enjoy my little youtube novel, hopefully my inexperience with the Legendary films hasn't left any holes in my thesis

Fun fact, shins energy doesn’t deplete as it fuels itself with an unknown nuclear isotope. The problem with 4th form shin Godzilla is that it hasn’t fully adapted to what is basically a nuclear reactor inside its body and can’t handle the heat that is produced but the reactor inside its body. So assuming that it has already started adapting to that problem I believe that 5th form shin would either have no heat problem or would have an effective way to cool off much faster than its previous form.

One thing I see underrated regularly in regards to Shin's evolutionary power, is that he doesn't stay at animal level intelligence as seen by the fact that not only is he aware that these metal flying things and weird metal shelled things that shoot stuff at him are piloted by SMALLER things(humans) but even comprehends that it is the sheer amount of numbers and cooperation between these numerous smaller organisms that continue to oppose and stop him. This shows Shin has intelligence to some degree and absolutely gets smarter as well as larger and more adapted with every evolution. It would be interesting as well to see how Legendary would fare against the likely thousands of humanoid Shin as well since its likely they would have atomic weaponry of some degree be that energy infused primitive weapons similar to Kong's axe or perhaps just a weaker version of the existing atomic laser scaled down though this would be PURE speculation at that point since we know nothing besides how the humanoid shin would look like and the lore that they would replace the entire ecosystem with Shin equivalent organisms. I do absolutely agree that after the 5th form Legendary godzilla would incinerate Shin entirely but not because he knows that every little piece will regenerate rather just out of spite, I mean we see Legendary do things for arrogant humor and pride when fighting against Kong, and indignant but spiteful attacks against Ghidorah while in his hyper-nuclear state lest we forget his habit of blowing nuclear flames directly into the mouth of the Muto or holding a severed but still living ghidorah head and shooting nuclear flames out of it like a child with a straw shooting paper balls.
@sayansaha1552 жыл бұрын
I see 3 ways the battle could end. 1) Shin godzilla comes back, as 2 Shins. Godzilla realises that he has to burn all of Shin, but that's kinda impossible. During battle Shin and Legendary will have massive showdown and Shun will lose some of his skin or cells. Those small cells won't be noticed by Godzilla and then can individually become Shin godzillas. 2) Shin Godzilla will become develop melee weapons, and increase his energy reservoirs. People make this weird claim that since Shin evolves to Match legendary speed Shin will lose his atomic breath. That's baseless and impossible, cause in the movie every time Shin evolved he got stronger and his energy reserves got bigger. I think Shin will find a way to generate energy within himself. 3) Shin Godzilla will become more intelligent than legendary. It will fight a two sided battle. Develop better body and outsmart Legendary. Sure Legendary has millions of years of battle experience, but he has never faced a creature that is similar to him and us specially designed to fight him. Shin's emp pulse will be stronger than a Muto. And for those who say Shin is just a dumb reactive animal, that's wrong. Shin Godzilla original 5th form was supposed to be human like. That's because Shin realised his enemies are humans. If shin was dumb and only reacted to the weapons he faced, then he would try to counteract the biological coagulation agent that froze him, which he will. But the fact that Shin chose to evolve into humans proves that Shin is intelligent.
@brushido46412 жыл бұрын
I'd like to say I just assumed that Shin isn't intelligent itself, rather the evolutionary process it goes through has some level of sentience. I doubt it's in control of its evolution rather its body is responding to its environment on a large scale. Like a super hyped up immune system. And since it's the body and not the brain it takes Shin a while to get used to evolutions. Like the Atomic Breath for example. It took him a while to build it up all the while looking like it was puking it out and in pain. And probably couldn't shut it off right away when it was done with the immediate threat and so accidentally set Tokyo ablaze.

I feel like something Shin would've developed against Legendary is Radiation Absorption. It apparently started with eating nuclear waste, and I think I remember things in the older movies about Godzilla feeding on radiation, so I imagine Shin gaining/pumping up that ability to neutralize LGs breath before it would develop electromagnetism. Would probably even allow a way for LG to survive for round 6 if Shin's is still new enough it has limited intake. If the heat thing from the 3rd form is anything to go by, Shin's adaptation is reactive, so I could imagine Shin having to pull back to improve that before chasing down LG.

One thing I’d like to mention is that while yes, Shin does have a problem with energy drain, in the film he was already adapting to this weakness. When he first uses his atomic breath it leaves him completely drained and forced to shut down, however by the time he reawakens his energy control is significantly improved. He can immediately go to the condensed heat ray phase from his mouth and while the army does deplete his energy, it doesn’t leave him so drained that he has to shut down, and only about 10 minutes later he is able to fire his breath again, even if only for a short time. So every time that Shin uses his atomic breath he gets better adapted to using it, and if he did get to this 5th form built to counter legendary, I’m sure he would have almost entirely mitigated his energy drain problem.

To better justify how the 3rd scenario is even possible even though Legendary would've learned to completely disintegrate Shin, we could say that Legendary indeed decapitated Shin's 4th form at first, but the head took a small and agile form to escape and hide, while the headless body turned into the 5th form, but they both kept a telepathic connection. Then after the 5th form got somehow defeated and incinerated, the head would've learned via their connection what went wrong and what was still missing to vanquish Legendary, therefore building the 6th form.

Maybe yes but in the end if it does work, shin would change his atomic blast to not be effected
@KyojinKaiju2 жыл бұрын
I'd be inclined to say no; it's important to keep in mind that Legendary Godzilla's atomic breath, going off the older scripts and the novel, was initiated by a bioelectric charge inside his throat that enabled him to use the blast. Shin Godzilla, and presumably all other Godzillas, don't have this minute detail in their respectively biologies, so the MUTOs EMP wouldn't be all that effective.
@a.r.k.24932 жыл бұрын

Yes 100%, we know a vs movie/comic would never happen because Shin, very much like the original 1954 Godzilla, is supposed to be a critique/satire, rather than a Fighter and Champion, and putting him in a boxing ring would butcher some aspects of it. But if it ever did, Legendary quite literally has no possibility of losing, it wouldnt even get to be a fight of who has more feats or potential, Legendary wins otherwise it'd just be a horrible mensage to pass down: People's champion (Legendary) losing to a personification... Zillafication? of the consequences of human hubris (Shin). Even if the writers convinently forget Legendary's tactical side and his millenia of experience, the plot would bend on its back to give Legendary a last minute power up to kill every cell in Shin.

Great analysis. I would also add a possible advantage for Legendary G would be aquatic combat. While Shin is also amphibious, we've never really seen how it handles itself under water besides being able to retreat to the sea and return to land at a different point. I honestly think Shin is actually better in water as it began from there. All the time we see him is trying to be better on land but he still goes to sea to recover. This video covers a LOT of information on the battlefield and I LOVE it! Let's not forget, in most of the Legendary Godzilla movies, he had some kind of help against his foes (human distraction for the MUTO's, Mothra's sacrifice, more human distractions & nuke revival, and Kong. While this new Godzilla x Kong is coming, I'm not too sure if he also received help. Then again, Kong is there-). If Godzilla manages to subdue Shin around his 4th or 5th form, perhaps the human allies would be able to figure this out and stop his evolution for good. HOWEVER, if it came to Shin's 6th form, it would most likely be gruesome, seemas how Godzilla nearly died to Ghidorah (somewhat same base as Shin's 6th form). If it weren't for the aid he received, he most likely would've died. But, seemas how we don't have much information on Shin before things turned dire, we wouldn't really know. Still, this video is great!

One thing that they forgot to cover in this simulation is that this isn't the most realistic simulation. If they tried to do the simulation realistically, they would've added the fact that Legendary Godzilla is undoubtedly, the king of the monsters. He has had every kaiju submit to him, and the ones that don't, get incinerated. I believe that Legendary Godzilla would analyze that he couldn't win in a 1v1 against Shin Godzilla's, and then call kaijus from around the world. Like you had previously stated, Legendary Godzilla wouldn't have won the battle without Mothra, but Mothra has a reincarnation ability, and if Legendary Godzilla were to call Mothra to the battle, even if Legendary Godzilla were decimated, Mothra would still have the capabilities to bring him back to life, allowing him to possible use the atomic pulse once again. Now one could argue that after Legendary Godzilla unlucks the atomic pulse, Shin Godzilla would evolve to a 7th form. But the issue with that is, there is no possible way to counter the atomic pulse. And there is the fact that Shin Godzilla's weakness is in his dorsals. Now say Legendary Godzilla were to use this atomic pulse, it would damage every bit of Shin Godzilla, completely disintegrating every bit of Shin Godzilla from the inside.

Legendary has a lot of atomic abilities to consider as well #1: In Godzilla: Dominion he uses an atomic pulse capable of removing poison from his body which would take unbelievable strength to expel #2: Many think his thermonuclear form was caused just by Mothra’s death but actually it was because he absorbed too much radiation for his body so he could absorb shin’s atomic ray #3: If given enough time he could fully charge an atomic blast like in GvK which he used to get to Kong in Hollow Earth if that hit shin it would probably do initial blast damage + be really hot #4: it’s possible he could implement atomic energy into his other most powerful weapon: Melee given he portions out his energy just right he could knock shin onto the ground and blast him from above with blast, heat, stronger atomic power (I’m going by the way he uses and manages it), and the added factor of gravity it could destroy shin #5(addition to #2): well heisei Godzilla used a spiral ray in his burning stage it’s possible legendary could as well I’m not a legendary fanboy I love millennium series more but I’m trying to be a little more accurate Also do some Kiryu vids

I think it depends on the direction they want to go in the monsterverse, if the license is gonna run out and not be renewed I think the best options to end it will be a space godzilla type kaiju or destroyah. If the verse continues I think they should revamp a lesser known kaiju, though they might not due to their popularity, gigan is a good a choice to make a darker movie, gigan usually comes across as goofy and stupid so it would be nice to see a redesign and have him portrayed as the terror he should be. If not, then biollante is perfect for a redesign and new origin consider its composition, could be a naturally occurring kaiju in the verse. #500MECHA

Energy depletion remains a serious problem for Shin Godzilla. It's also possible that Shin Godzilla's evolution causes it to lose an advantage somewhere. Imagine, for a moment, that Shin Godzilla develops flight...it might end up losing its ability to fight in water. And Ghidora nearly died when G-Man dragged him under the water.
@RhazOfRheos Жыл бұрын
I dont think Shin loses anything from evolving. We see him getting better and better each form. He didnt lose his ability to live under water when he gain the ability to walk on land. And he adapts instantly too seen when he wants to counter air strikes and drones. Thats not even him evolving. His current weakness is his energy deficiency. Id imagine if it happened too often, he will negate that eventually.
@tristanemery8748 Жыл бұрын
I think this is an interesting point tbh. It's entirely feasible that Shin could lose some of its previously advantageous adaptations through gaining new ones just by the nature of its evolutionary powers. For instance, if it gained flight, I would assume mass would be drawn from its legs and tail to both better distribute mass, but also to provide the sheer volume of biological matter necessary to grow giant wings - potentially hampering both Shin's terrestrial and aquatic movement as well as its ability to use its tail as a weapon.

actually the concept for shins next form is a perfected fusion reactor. this would have been after he eradicated humanity by evolving into an entire world conquering army of human-zillas. the perfect reactor would have had literal infinite energy. note, the further concepts by shins creator would have had him adapting to space flight, galaxy destruction, actual reality destruction, and growing and containing an entire new universe within itself...after utterly destroying the old one of course.

This was a very fun video, with an evolution based on good logic that Legendary countered with his intelligence and cognitive skills. Now: could Legendary have still triumphed? Possibly! I posit to you a scenario of my own based on some key factors from KOTM, as New Empire was released after this was made. Legendary took a nuke at extreme proximity and was healed and filled with more energy than his body could contain, to the point of becoming the powerful Burning Godzilla once Mothra gave of her spirit to him. So considering that Shin explicitly spews vast amounts of radiation just by existing and especially by using his atomic weaponry, it’s possible Legendary could be absorbing radiation the entire battle. Possibly even mitigating the damage of the atomic weaponry. This is further supported in Godzilla vs Kong where the dorsal plate of a member of Godzilla’s species was not only utterly immune to his atomic breath, it was absorbed and empowered. Considering the scenario of Legendary triumphing once and possibly against both, he might even be able to supercharge himself by feeding on the corpses and taking chunks out of them. The director of KOTM responded to the question of if Godzilla could eat other Titans with: “Other titans/kaiju are basically a source of radioactive meat, so...” Godzilla vs Kong also shows that even absent the chance of going into the Thermonuclear State, there are other benefits of excess absorbed radiation. Godzilla expended a lot of power first by firing an Atomic Breath strong enough to bore a hole to Hollow Earth. So he is proven capable of changing the amount of energy he can hold, and proven capable of exerting it in stronger, but more draining ways.

I feel like anything that can fly has an advantage over Legendary Goji. Ghidorah's a prime example of that. Not only can he just fly away if needed, he literally almost killed Goji by simply dropping him from the atmosphere. Ghidorah just likes to torment Goji out of spite. However, because Goji is super smart and has battled an old foe who's known to regenerate, it wouldn't take long for him to realize that he needs to completely eliminate Shin as fast as possible. No doubt he'll get flashbacks and completely change his fighting method, even possibly attacking Shin as he tries to heal himself. This is also assuming Mothra wouldn't intervene, which, knowing from the battle with Ghidorah, she's not gonna let Goji face Shin alone. Kong might join too since he and Goji know they can work together should the time ever call for it. In short, if this were to be a movie, I feel like it would be Shin vs the Earth. They almost lost him once, it's not gonna happen again.
@RhazOfRheos Жыл бұрын
Its not totally fair on that point of Shin vs the earth as humans did beat Shin. But lets say the coagulant was not formed and other kaijus exist. Its still a hard match up as nothing conventional works on Shin so far. everything thrown at him is instantly adapted by him. And thats not even him evolving. If he evolve with a bio nuclear reactor or something that negates his energy deficiency, then nothing in the Monster verse could beat him.
@vanguardRailgun924 Жыл бұрын
This actually got me thinking on ways to beat Shin. 1: Put it on the offensive. All of Shin’s evolutions happened to defend itself from attacking opponents or things actively hindering him. Shin is a reactionary creature and is not a critical thinker. You need to bait it to going on the offensive and then take him out by surprise. Only problem is would Legendary’s Pride allow him to follow through with this plan. 2: Call in the other Kaiju with the Alpha call and completely overwhelm Shin and not give it the chance to evolve further.
@zachelkins1229 Жыл бұрын
For me I think the best comparison is to something like Doomsday from Superman. There's no beating or stopping Shin the same way twice. If Legendary can figure out that he needs to absolutely destroy Shin after he regenerates there is a slim chance he could still take Shin, as even after evolving Shin rarely shows more intelligence, though it hadn't really needed to. It wouldn't be playing to Legendary's strengths, but by being clever he might be able to isolate one of the regenerations and finish it entirely, then applying that same ideal to the second. But if this somehow goes to a round 3 I can't see Legendary taking a W. Much like antibiotic resistance in bacteria if you don't stop Shin entirely you're soon to have a much, much worse problem on your hands.

It is funny how everyone here completely forgets that Legendary made damn sure to destroy Gidorah to make sure that it wouldn't come back. So no, in a 1 vs 1 fight, Shin would only have been able to reach a fifth form if plot armor allowed it to.

@@ExodusCore Legendary ahs the intelligence, sure. Ability? Debatable. In the end, or course, Stan Lee said it best: "The winner is the one the writer wants to win."

7:44 I'm not sure this is true. Maybe it's just my reading of the film, but it always struck me that Shin running out of atomic breath was only a temporary setback of that form, and that with future forms, this weakness would disappear
@mamaguebitoklk55752 жыл бұрын
And it did, literally after hibernating it used it's atomic breath many more times for longer periods of time, this without going into a suspended state again, so yeah, the energy depletion shit is just a stretch.
@YamiYaiba2 жыл бұрын
Eh, maybe. At this point we're crossing into the realm of suspending disbelief in physics so hard that it becomes impossible to say how ANYTHING works. For example, biomass doesn't just come out of nowhere. How is Shin getting larger without material intake? Similarly, how can he generate more power without a more potent or larger nuclear fuel source? With any Godzilla, you've gotta suspend disbelief SOME (as standing upright with structural integrity is nigh impossible, much less locomotion), but Shin just laughs in the face of physics by disregarding mass and energy. So yeah, Shin *could* regenerate into 2 Shins....but where is all that extra Shin-meat coming from? Sure, Shin could get more powerful and more frequent breath weapons, but where's the extra nuclear energy coming from? Realistically, until Shin evolves either a digestive system or an ability to consume biological/nonbiological matter to integrate into its body, it has hard, finite limits. So I don't think their hypothetical 6th Form is plausible. And I'm casting heavy doubt on their "2 Shins" scenario, though it's *slightly* more plausible, though I suspect they'd be weaker (at least in terms of energy output) than 4th Form purely due to lack of resources to make 2 identical Shins at full strength. Not to say they couldn't win, as I think 4 perfectly aimed shorter duration beams could hypothetically behead LG. Falling that though, I think all the repeated Shin nuclear attacks on LG turn him thermonuclear, and he wrecks house, culminating in a massive Shin-vaporizing pulse attack.
@gavisinspacern14882 жыл бұрын
@@YamiYaiba To be fair I think with LG Godzilla the same could be applied. For all the cosmic horror ridiculousness that Shin has, LG always seems to have some sort of get out of jail free card; I mean, he literally survived the oxygen destroyer for starters! 🤣 I think, to my mind, given that LG Godzilla was hardcore struggling against Mechagodzilla (Weakened yes, but nonetheless), I can't see LG feasibly beating Shin in a 1v1, with the exception of a convenient save from human allies... Or the oxygen destroyer I guess

Shin is just too godlike for legendary . Also shin's primary ray straight cuts obstacles , there is no way the gman could evade his ray if not in close quarters . Shin's ray was so precise he could hit drones , which are absurdly smaller than gman.

Like i said i love shin he's a,badass monster but i think alot of people try to make him out to be that kid on the play ground that keeps coming up with powers just to say he has them to be "better"

@@goldendoomslayer6301 well shin never fought a kaiju . This is all speculation, if we stick to facts only then we just Do not have enough "on picture" data for Shin . So why bother talking about it ? Well , that is the fun of it. Its Canon though that shin could evolve into those monstruosities, we will never see them though because shin godzilla is dead.

Dead meaning we will not see him in another movie.
