HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

What I love most is the captions! I'm hard of hearing, so the fact that nothing is ever said and there are captions to communicate all the thought is really nice for me. It's probably a really weird part of your videos to love, but it's a little thing that makes me feel more involved!

My favourite parts are all the visual story telling and gags, each scene has a thought out vibe that shows such a care and dedication but also enthusiasm. So many channels fall into a rut of 'I guess I gotta do this today' but the BigStackD videos always come across a labour of love and outlet for a lovely sense of quirkisim. :)

I am Jack’s total satisfaction with seeing junk metal go in and nicely formed solid pieces come out. There’s also the unintentional soothing sound of the white noise coming off the furnace, the taps and tinks, and wire brushing sped up.

My favorite thing about the channel is your consistency in production, down to kicking your boots off. I like knowing I'm going to see the big snack and the doggos. I like that you chuck random objects at the ice block and melt random shiggity you find at the scrap yard.

My favorite part is the variety. Every Friday is a grab bag of whatever you've been feeling like melting. I just love to relax and watch whatever you do. I like the format with the melting, the dogs, the snacks. It's never like... "Damn! I wish he wouldn't melted copper today!", it's more like.. "neat, he decided to melt XYZ today, awesome!". It's your stack, I'm just along for the ride.

Aww, Bullion was such a tiny little scrapper! I'm surprised there were no mice this week; maybe they finally learned their lessons. I'm glad you share all of this with us!

I would like to say I have one favorite thing i like about your videos but i like several things. I love the puppies, I love watching the process of the forging, it so fascinating to me. Something I really never seen to this extent. The shining and buffing of the finished project but most of all your sense of humor. My favorite part is when you buff and shine up those gorgeous metal castings after they're completed. I never knew that an ingot of copper or brass could be so beautiful. And of course, "the boys" are great to check on, especially when you have a treat. I do have to mention though that 107 degrees F is way too hot for me! I'm very happy to watch it from the other side of the world. Thanks!

Although I really enjoy the base content of tearing down the scrap, melting it, and casting and polishing it, what I like most is the effort spent to make each video just a bit extra. The treasure hunt that is the old garage workshop was really cool to me, and I can see you're making the new workshop just as much fun for the viewer. Hiding your snacks in awkward places is still amusing. Trying to guess what's playing on the TV has always been fun. The pattern socks are always a chuckle. Love your dogs. Basically everything that enhances the industrial zen that is your casting process. Cheers!

An extra-extra long video! Loved seeing the variety of melts you did, and that every one of them felt like you were just cleaning up around the shop and had an idea of something new to melt. I've loved these recent videos watching the progression of your new shed, every week a bit more lived in and a bit more organized. I'm here for all the content: dogs, teardowns, motor melts, 10mm sockets. I'm personally a big fan of the teardowns/scrapyard runs/motor melts as my favorite thing is seeing the way you reclaim junk and turn it into something bright and shiny. I also love seeing the subscriber melts so we can get invested in the process. Keep them coming!

I love the break-down and how you edit it to make it almost musical. Copper and brass are my favorites, mostly for the depth of color, I think. I do love the puppy time, too, and the glimpses of daily life- snacks, socks, movies, furry intruders/random wildlife, improvement updates, etc. Would love to see more sand casting, especially if you try new shapes/sculpture (brass monkey? silver fox?😆). Odd question: You have Joker coins, but do you have any Two-Face ones?

Your food discovery skits are great fun, the boys are so cute, and the melts and pours are great. Also, I like everything about the channel, the melting, the jokes, the dogs, the food-- everything. My favorite melt is copper because it's just so clean when it comes out. Brass always seems dirty, aluminum has too much slag, but copper just pours pure.

Maybe because he has invested a helluva lot of money to upgrade his channel - new property, new shop, new equipment and I forsee even more new equipment in the near future - maintaining a youtube channel doesn't come cheap, you have to develop, or people lose interest and go elsewhere.

G'day BigStackD. What I like most is the breakdowns and the pours. I also like seeing the birds in your backyard.

Love the dogs always!! I think I love the breakdowns from the Scrapyard that result in great melts

For me it's a close race between the dogs and scrapyard/dumpster videos. I don't know if I would watch a video about nothing but the dogs but they definitely are a nice addition to the melts

Best part of your videos for me, breaking things down. Melting aluminium, seeing the stash grow, waiting for a self to break due to pure weight!

Love the baby Bullion video! I like all aspects of the videos but scrap searching, tear down and melting are my favs. Besides the dogs of course! Lol

My favorite things are when you play with the dogs, the tappy tap when you do molds or when you smush pipes flat, the bright orange juice color of copper, and nordic gold because it looks like pirate gold treasure. I do like how you hide your snacks. I like the humor you have. I like the field trips to go find things to melt.

I love that the clip of the tire smashing the ice doesn't end until the tire has rolled across the yard and come to rest in the grass. That is true ASMR.

My grandson (he's 4) and I love watching your vids. His favorites are the motor meltdowns - well, mostly you taking them apart and smashing the big bits.

Your sense of humor is my favorite thing! BigSnackD's and the seemingly magical places you find them, ice smashes and/or whatever you have handy to throw, Mr. Wippy the ice cream man who you give so much "abuse," how you can't press the creases out of your flag because you're afraid of hot irons and so many other witty fun things you do. Motor melts and their tear-downs come in a strong second.

I'd have to say that top three for me are motor melts, BigSnackD, and Aluminium, in no particular order. The process of breaking the motor down is fascinating, I love the sort of pudding-like appearance of aluminium slag, and I'm a sucker for delicious looking food. Huge thank you for the awesome content!

We like it all and watch each video in its' entirety finding them highly educational; although my wife would like less spiders. We do like the scrapyard finds especially finding the projects to disassemble/melt. Having a second 'Quick Melt' segment using pipes, fittings, etc for coins/sand casting is always appreciated. As a friendly suggestion would be adding a '#short' to play towards the KZbin algorithm, increase engagement and even draw in new viewers. This can be a highlight from the prior Friday's video, a sneak peek on the upcoming Friday video, or highlights from older videos. The pour, removal from the casting, ice block drop, or just kicking your shoes off would all be engaging shorts.

Awesome video as always!!! To your question... Love those huge melts like the huge electric motor that ends up with a whole bunch of ingots and love how you take the junk apart before the melt.

What is my favorite part? All of them! I love seeing you prep/breakdown the components and put them on the fire. I love the breaks and the cooking/eating. I love the dogs! And especially feeding the dogs. I love seeing the molten metal and the casting into ingots or forms. That chest full of coins is epic!
