If i only have enough liquid metal to pour for half an ingot can i melt more and pour it on top or will it not correctly fuse?
@azenker8814 сағат бұрын
I know it's a very heavy motor, but it seems excessive/wasteful to transport it on such a large trailer by itself.

Ay yo mate,dumb yank here,what is a jarah and why so dusty 🤷♂️ love your channel
@bigstackD18 сағат бұрын
Jarrah is a hardwood that’s only grown in my area and nowhere else in the world. It’s basically just sawdust as this motor was at a timber mill cutting logs for years.

How much propane or fuel in general do you go through for a smelt of this size?
@bigstackD18 сағат бұрын
I did a video a few months back where I melted about 23 kg of copper and the cost of propane came in at around $0.87AUD in propane per 1KG of copper melted so a video this big probably would’ve cost me about $40AUD in propane👍🏻

What the hell is jarrah dust
@bigstackD20 сағат бұрын
Jarrah is an Australian hardwood. It’s just wood sawdust. Jarrah trees only grow around my area and nowhere else in the world👍🏻. A lot of people don’t know what Jarrah is , I probably should’ve been more informative

I’m sure it’s been said, but you’re gonna need a bigger furnace. I’m noticing (and loving) the melts getting bigger. And AEG need to come forth with an impact wrench. Spanners - sorry, shifters, don’t do it for me.

Hope you see my comment get your self a electric jack hammer a smaller one or electric chisel use the flat spade attachment I seen a guy on KZbin use one to split them cast casings like nothing then use it to pop all the bolt heads a rivets off then a dull ended blade to cut the wire and went around on other end of stator and used it to drive the wiring out in 10 min not having to work hard for it

I wonder if you could get a ball mill sometime so you wouldn't have to manually hammer all the random gunge off of this stuff.

What if you raised your furnaces up a foot or so on dedicated platforms so you don't have to bend? And maybe the same for your pouring? My back hurts watching you sometimes...
