I tried this recipe yesterday - I live in the States & used corn flour (as per the recipe) but it’s very grainy and yellow. I think it’s corn starch used in this recipe (Maziena back in South Africa) The dough was crumbly and I had to use a cookie cutter (couldn’t pipe it) Will try with corn starch next time.

I tried this recipe today, my first time using piping bag 🤦♀️🤦♀️ it showed me flames Gawa 🙆♀️. The dough could not come out, i tried and tried nothing came out. I ended up using rolling pin and cookie cutter. I'm so disappointed, i thought i was gonna nail it 🙈🙈🙈.
@gawaskitchen3 жыл бұрын
Hi if the dough couldn't come out either your nozzle is to small or u added to much flour so dough is to stiff,your dough should be super soft not stiff,try measuring your flour correctly in measuring cups,never press your flour down in cups,its should always be loosely in cup,also the reason I say your dough might be to stiff is because u would never be able to roll it out with rolling pin,next time try adding some oil if it's to stiff.
