This biscuits will melt in your mouth.If you want to impress make this melting moments.
Ingredients
250g butter/ Margarine
1 cup icing sugar
3/4 cup cornflour/maizena
1/2 cup oil(vegetable or sunflower)
2 cups &1/4 cup flour(heaped)
If using Electric oven.Bake at 180 degrees for 20 min or until golden brown.

Made these biscuits today. They were great. I just added half a teaspoon of salt to the mixture, as I never make cookies without a dash of salt, as this gives great balance to the rest of the ingredients and results in delicious cookies. But I followed your recipe and the result was outstanding. Thank you.

500g Margarine or butter 1 cup oil 1 cup icing sugar 2 tspns vanilla essence-optional 4 cups flour 1 cup corn flour You can use the same recipe to make the custard version by just replacing corn flour with 1 cup custard powder. N.B. its important to always test whether ridges will hold as you might need more flour due to a different temp. Always start with half a cup when adding more flour.

Hi.helps create a crumble.without corn starch you get a different product. This recipe gives a soft, tender and crmbly biscuit.wothoit the cornstarch you wont get that.give it a try and let me know how it turns out.
