@@ArtByAdrock I built my forge from an old helium tank, but either the lid is leaking alot of heat, or the burner I built isn't as effective as it should be. Its works plenty for aluminum though 😅
@ArtByAdrock5 жыл бұрын
What do you have it lined with? If anything get some kaowool and use it as a liner to help seal the lid. Also, what kind of pressure regulator do you have? A good burner and regulator will make all the difference. $90 and you’ll get an awesome one from devil forge.
@TwoHandStan5 жыл бұрын
@@ArtByAdrock I used plaster of Paris and I hope to swap out the liner of the foundry with kaowool as soon as the liner in it now falls apart. And a whole devil forge is on my Christmas list, I've only told my wife about a million times.

FWIW, smelting is the practice of extracting metal from ore. This is called melting
@Mr-Mojo925 жыл бұрын
@@swdweeb actually there is other is other way to say ,it is also known as refining it can also be used instead of melting refine or refining is removing impurities of unwanted elements from a some students typically as part of an industrial process however technically this could be considered a small industrial very small industrial scale processing plant even though it's small-scale casting 😔😔😎

Nice video! You really do deserve a lot more subscribers then you have, your melting and casting ingots are just as well done as bigstackD's are, and your actual craft products are FAR superior. Stacks's videos are alot of fun to watch, but certainly not 10x better then your own as the sub. numbers might reflect. I hope to spread the word some because i already LOVE your work, even the older stuff. (and bigstackD's always doing his best to promote your channel as well, so i am certainly not disrespecting him, just comparing.)

So I have tried over and over again to make a green sand mold but I can’t seem to find the right sand could you let me know what a good one is that isn’t overly expensive?
@ArtByAdrock5 жыл бұрын
Just look for a very fine silica sand at the hardware store and 10% bentonite clay. That should work just fine with the right amount of water 👍🏻
