Quick question, do you use to normal propane? Torches like the green ones. Do you use the taller skinnier blue ones? Or do you use the yellow map gas?

I melted silver rings and chain and some other items they're all 925carat but the problem is the blub turned almost black like .. I had to scratch it to look kinda shiny.. guess it wasn't even 925carat. And in the process the blowtorch blew in my hand. I can't even describe to you how happy I was when I tossed away the bottle that was still on fire and I run faster than Usain Bolt to the mirror and checked my face and neck debris hit all my face and neck.. nothing not even a scratch, except for my hand because of the fire but it healed . After I checked my face I remembered the bottle LMAO so I ran again but the fire went out.. no kids around nobody around I always make certain nobody is around. Anyway so the crucible fell over to the side and the silver now has sand in it 😔 is it possible to get it out by melting it again?

I have like 5.5kg of silver I need to melt down. I had been able to melt down the 76 kilos i had but my buddy sold his crucible after i said id buy as as im always metal working

I am terrible at ingot pouring, not for once I have poured a proper bar, like it doesn’t go as an ingot shape but it stacks up instead, like a weird junk of silver frozen slime

I’ve ran into the same issue countless times. Make sure you pre-heat the mold (I use a s single electric stove) and add lots of oil into the mold
