So the video is pure magnetism, the song is amazingly deep and the symbolism when they’re combined is perfection...what he’s trying to say is that being in love will never be perfect for anyone no matter what, it just isn’t possible so instead of worrying about finding and falling in love with another human being and just repeating the same pattern that will inevitably end the same way sooner or later...with a broken heart. My friend doesn't know how to quit, hence she is wasting her time and energy in a relationship that has no future and which is only gonna hurt her. True love and having soulmates sounds good but it's all about working hard for your relationship, that's what matters. Unconditional love, not unlimited, is the best type of love in my opinion. Because what if you’re with someone for an unlimited amount of time but they don’t love you for who you are? Having a person for a few months who loves you inside and out is far more rewarding than just “being with someone” for many years. The only reason this music video is a masterpiece is that the video is captivating and paints a a very pretty picture. But there's layers to this. A beautifully crafted blackforest, if you will. The lyrics carry a deep bittersweet sensation. The lone howl that echoes the depths of doubt and despair (Meltt hopes you don't listen to) are whispered. Their pivotal lines "better not be the one to fall in love again" (The last two words being the title of the song.) Is so unconsciously layered and artistic. The video which paints a totally different ( and hopeful) scene where the couples are portrayed as falling in love is effortlessly juxtaposed against the disdained and inevitable dispair of the melancholic lyrics that are filled with doubt. This only makes it even sadder because he's hoping for it against all hope..."when will I concede?" (To move on or to stay?) The wonderfilled video superimposed upon the doomfilled lyrics makes this cursed hope almost sacred like a prayer.

This is a beautiful song full of so much symbolism regarding love and relationships. When people initially fall in love and you begin to get to know the person, all their good qualities stand out immensely, it’s what makes us love them in the first place despite the flaws. Overtime when routine and life comes into the picture, hurdles and conflicts, we choose to look away from the very things that made us love them to begin with, the moments and idiosyncrasies. What we loved becomes what’s annoying about them. The quirks become pesky, the attention becomes overbearing. Other potential partners and prospects start us entice us (like the guy getting intrigued by the girl at 0.48 of the video) - I feel like the pill in this video works like a memory enhancer. It reminds us of not just the happy moments you’ve had with them, but how you felt in that moment. The things you loved and why you love them. We age but age is like an onion, it’s a year on top of the years. It’s important not to forget that if you’re 30 and busy right now, you were 25 and joint at the hips before. Smile upon those times, Work on it. Time fades feelings and moments, but when you work on your connection, it lasts. Sparks may flicker and dim, but shouldn’t be burnt out. The house you build and live in is the one that requires repairs over time. And if you always seek out a new house everytime the last one needs a repair, you’ll never build a home. Patched up and old, but it’s home. It’s cosy and safe and it’s yours. I cry so much every time I see this video. I guess people have different interpretations of this video and love and relationships. I see couples holding on to something that is no longer there. The reason why I think this is because at the end when they reveal multiple past attempts to help their relationship. It's sad cause their relationship is over but they are prolonging the inevitable.
