This is a demonstration using Boss Warachia in the PS2 version of Melty Blood: Actress Again. Read on below for more information...
Boss/CPU Warachia is a character who only appears in Boss Rush mode as a CPU opponent on the first stage. He is an unplayable character.
===== ABOUT BOSS WARACHIA =====
He is basically a special version of the regular character Warachia. This version of him seems to be a "lesser" version of his regular Crescent Moon Style form. Interestingly, he is not based on any of his earlier appearances in the previous Melty Blood games at all.
The game where he was truly considered a boss was in the very first Melty Blood, where he was a hidden unlockable character and the end boss opponent in Route 7 of story mode.
In MBAA, Boss Warachia is very similar to regular Warachia in his Crescent Moon Style, with a few differences.
Additionally, he also uses the Eclipse Style mode - a mode which is used by the bosses in Boss Rush mode. It is normally a non-selectable mode unless you're playing as Archetype:Earth.
===== BOSS WARACHIA UNIQUENESS =====
---- Boss Warachia has two unique dash moves that the other regular forms of him does not seem to have. The first is just a dash forward, and the second is a dash that automatically leads to a jumping [B] strike. You can see this move starting from 3:54 in the video. These dashes seem to be the same as the air dashes.
---- Boss Warachia has the unique feature of sometimes automatically performing a move after he gets up from being downed.
---- He is unable to perform the Replicant Coordinator moves in the air, unlike Crescent Moon Style Warachia.
---- He does not have the Replicant Red Arcuied EX-Edge move (the one where she throws the two rings), unlike Crescent Moon Style Warachia.
===== ABOUT MELTY BLOOD AA =====
Melty Blood started off as a doujin game on the PC which was released back in 2002... it was basically a spin-off game of the visual novel Tsukihime. Therefore obviously, the game contains characters and story elements from the novel. The game has evolved a lot since then, so much that the later games saw release on the Arcade and PS2 platforms. In 2016, a Steam version of Current Code was released.
The gameplay of Melty Blood is all about the chain combos and pure rushdown... if you want to play this competitively then your reaction time and combo'ing ability better be up to scratch.
