We got shield warriors on anime. After Mash from FGO (Fate/Grand Order), we got Naofumi from The Rising of the Shield Hero and Maple/Kaede from Bofuri: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. Not counting Captain America from Marvel because of western-made although Captain America made it to Marvel anime later on.
