What I like so much is how in the interview she spoke for real, what she left and kept going on. Now finding the man the love she was always looking for like she knew it was out there. Her beauty is in the music and her adapatablity to do it all!

Hey Melveen, your mother was the sweetest Kupuna on the Aloha Friday table at the Hotel Molokai. For 4 years I got to share a beautiful time watching here smile and sing. Now I live 2 doors from Aunty Karen. Thank you for this insightful moʻolelo of your history of the Place ʻOhana. You are as sweet and lovely as your beautiful Mother. Awesome Melveen!, Kilohana School!, I remember the Place Kupuna. We all smelled like Kala and dried he’e at school. We all sang at home and learned ukulele from mama. Beautiful Melveen. I miss Aunty Didi. What a cool mo’olelo.

*I am good friends with aunty Melveen's niece Janna(Fifi)I got to see aunty when she first came back from Tahiti she had a mini concert at the house (sister Nalani)was either on labor day or new years cause I recall fireworks being set off throughout the neighborhood we were all inside the parlor area enjoying the night serenade such great fond memories I have with the family even tutu's (Melveen's mom)cooking I miss everytime she visit omg chicken poi stew homemade manapua and fried fish😢🥰❤❤❤*

Leslie I met you on lanai as a Police Officer, Melveen, as the Molokai girl during my years on the Tour circuit, I remain still hiding out on Lanai.
