The successful black men that survived the LA streets go unsung. Meanwhile we highlight the delinquents and romanticize their damage to the community. So many doctors, lawyers, pure businessmen, athletes, educators and government officials have come from LA and hardly ever get any shine unless their relative to hip hop culture.

Do the doctors lawyers, athletes have an interesting story? By interesting I mean, they live a life most of us can only imagine. We glamorize the criminals because it’s interesting. Most people watching this are law abiding citizens. It’s interesting to see a life from a criminals point of view

@@chucki23E If you grew up during this period in South Central LA, "believe me" we have interesting stories... but being too smart to get busted, or caught up to the extent, community destruction is a highlight, but "interesting stories"...no doubt. There were many famous people with stories out of Horace Mann/Washington High: Rose Royce A famous LA Lawyer, Pro singers, Soul Train Dancers James Lofton - Hall of Fame [believe he had stories growing up a football punt from a notorious park] A VP of global arms manufacturing (Being kind of vague not to put folks business out) Tons of successful folks lived through the near same direct or indirect experiences, but not to the extent of detriment...but think about it...there were other people around, watching, testing the waters, friends with a different perspective.

I’m still trying to figure out WHY these gangs formed though, and why he joined. He stopped going to class in defiance of his dad - but what was he doing that led to eventually holding guns and jacking? And why did the crips form and why did other original gangs that he mentioned exist?

Vlad: 5:23 "you can get two years for a murder---that's just mind blowing to me." Here's what's really mind blowing. In Melvin Farmer's days and it still may be true, that in Brazil you couldn't even be prosecuted for any crime if you were under 18. A child under 18 (Age of Responsibility) was deemed incapable of committing a crime. No court, no prosecution, no records, nothing. It never happened. So gang lords used kids 13, 14, 15, 16 year olds to do all their hits! Yes, kids make of most of the hit squads there. Of course they don't simply let them go, they are placed in crowded detention centers for a pause before resuming a life of crime. Pedro Rodrigues Filho has killed at least 70 people in Brazil. Some estimates are rounded to a hundred. He killed 10 before he was 18 so the rest after that age counted against him, but not before. He first kill was his city's vice mayor who fired his father from his job for stealing school property. He shot-gun blasted him down in front of city hall. Pedro was 14. Years later he killed his father. His father chopped up his mother with a machete. Pedro then visited his dad in jail and sliced him up 22 times. It was a kind of double payback. Pedro's skull was damaged when his father beat up his pregnant mother while Pedro was still inside her. Pedro's knife wasn't even dull after he chopped up his father. So he went on to open up daddy's chest, pulled out the heart and munched on it! I think it was lunch time, a kind of working lunch I guess. After he committed murders at 18 years old he was put in prison. Then he really got busy. Actually it started ON HIS WAY to prison. When he was first arrested he was placed into a squad car with a rapist. The cop went in to do some paper work before driving off and by the time he got back to the car Pedro had killed the rapist. The bulk of his murders came after he was in prison. Because he was killing criminals he was deemed "a good killer," the "good guy!" He took pride in meting out justice he said. This was happening in the 70s. He was born in 1954 same year as many U.S. crip OGs. Despite killing 70 people his max prison sentence in Brazil was 30 years. Apparently if you've reached the max sentence all other murders beyond the max sentence are freebies! They can't add any more than the 30 years. He got out in 2007. Look him up.

I am so sick and tired of people coming on Vlad's page and always talking Condescending about the man. I, for one, loves what he does, and so do millions of his followers, but you have certain Naysayers, who only come on here to criticize and disrespect. Why are you watching? I can't hear you, so I'll tell you why: it's because you are haters and you can't accept the fact that Vlad TV is Top Ranking, and yes, I watch the other shows that are patterned after Vlad TV, but Vlad comes first, and they come second, so stop your hate, and Congratulate. Big up To Vlad, you are the Don in this and that's what's killing them.
