Cloud Effect with Golden Fluid - 1

In this video I'm working on two level 2 canvases from Michael's. One is 12"x10" and the other 8"x8".
I attempted cloud pours using Golden fluid and this was my first try with this new mix.
Products used:
DecoArt Americana Satin Enamels in white
Golden fluid in titanium white, nickel azo gold, pthalo blue and pthalo turquoise.
Liquitex pouring medium
Water (only in white)

All colors were prepared with approximately 3 parts pouring medium and 1.5 - 2 parts paint.

I use Golden fluid acrylics with my satin enamel almost daily! It’s my favorite combo... but of course, I wouldn’t have even known about the Satin Enamel if it weren’t for you. I still try to give u props not only in my videos but in the forum for your amazing discovery and share of the cloudy effect. Love your work!

I am a beginner. What does the satin enamel do? I found some satin enamel in my garage and am going to us it in a pour. Am just experimenting now. As soon as a canvas is dry, I pour over top.

That cloud effect is Super Beautiful! Thanks for continuing to TRY. It paid off. I love the one with the little "cells" in the Golden Clouds. Thank you! I am. Revisiting your cloud pour tutorials. I was getting wonky pours because I am still learning but was getting too cocky! Seems like I start mixing paints without thinking. I have too much fun and then my clouds get all weird and smudgy. So thankfully I have you and your cloud recipes to bring me back to reality ! Tomorrow’s a new day! Mixing your way! I had a great day. I tried to replicate your pour! I got super cool stuff, crazy cells, and unexpected things popped up like fractals. I did three small pours with the Goldens fluid paints! Of course each one is different. But super cool! Thank you again. I am so happy.

That happy accident, you're not playin' sista! Sooooooo sic 💚 it's got this diffused softness to it. Your eyes are drawn to one part but then organically your gaze shifts until you've done come back to the start & that same organic flow swept you away again & again. This is what I imagine it would like to capture your Chi in your art. The comedic irony of flow acrylic capturing our chi cuz it's really easy to get into a meditative flow state while painting is a corny kind of tacky notion to most I'm sure. For me I sincerely feel this way & both these paintings just have beautiful energy. Your work is remarkable @melyd.artist 🤗🌈💚👏🏼🎊🙏🏼😇

Mely Beautiful color choices! I experimented with adding a bit of good quality PVA glue to the white mix to slow down the morphing/stretching. It seems to work. Now I have to resist using fire to pop bubbles because when I use the torch I see small breaks in the white. Great pours!

I hate wasting paint too. It makes me feel so sad. But, in this art, it is inevitable at times. I scoop it up now and save it for use in other ways - paintings if possible within whatever color it becomes - and at least flow extender. At least then it's not a total loss. The second painting is really just incredible. Seriously one of the very most magnificent paintings ever - of all time. Just amazing. The "Happy Accident" is really cool. Definitely.
