My daughter is now 22 and my mom wanted to put her in pageants around age 4 or 5. I told her absolutely not, not happening. She pushed it a bit but then she got the hint that no matter what she said it wasn't going to happen. Moms and dad's need to stop living vicariously through their kids. They are their own person.
