Had the same question, what is considered a meme deck for this? (Using some meme cards or having a meme win condition) because I'm worry about people having some meme cards in the deck to enter but using mete engine for that deck (like artifacts draw/clear power on unlimited). also is this tournament gonna use rotation format or unlimited? And for your questions: 1) fortune hand should be allow to be use, the more meme cards open to the people the better 2) I have no problem with swearing 3) Im ok with any kind of tournament (8 BO3 or 16 single elimination). Good Luck with all of this Kulo, hype meter for this is on the max for me.

It's Belph"Orb"met's time to shine! Also I feel like Fortune's should be allowed as long as the deck isn't meta. There are cards like Slaus and Chariot that are sort of memey while still not being bad cards that could help other decks out. Other cards like Item Shop and Cloistered should just be banned though because they are just plain good and don't really have meme potential imo. HWOR'd seems like a middle ground where it is a good card but the Reanimate effect has meme potential. All of this is subjective lol but my idea of what is allowed would be as long as the deck has a theme and the other cards in the deck are based on that theme then the cards should be allowed. Cards that are just plain good by themselves aren't really meme cards imo.

I love the idea of a meme tournament, and already have a great Unlimited meme deck that I play against some of my friends. To answer your questions: 1) I feel that Fortune's Hand should NOT be banned. There are some high meme-potential cards like Uluon, Grand Chariot and X Slaus, Wheel of Fortune. Some other cards within the expansion might help to enable the memes. 2) I feel that swearing is okay to do, and can sometimes add a little humor into the commentary. 3) Single Elimination would be much more reasonable for watch time, and someone might not have the time to do a Best of 3 (unless it is made sure that they have the time to do it) All in all, I love this idea and I love the concept to counter-balance the meta by having some memelord fun. Anyone not wanting a meme tourney would be crazy, can't wait for if this comes to fruition!

I'd love this but I feel there should be a clear definition of what a meme deck is (which cards can and cannot be used) just in case someone has the wrong idea

Okaaaaay, IM IN A MEME FRENZY NOW. I AM PARTICIPATING *FOR THY MEMES ARE WORTH* 1st. Yes i think not including Fortune hand is kinda not widening the memes but yeah i get it for knowing what deck is metta and what isn't i agree that it should be not allowed 2nd.i think swearing Should be allowed to an extent but personally i think talking like "oh moma adele won't like this" or " this better be something i can squeeze" is better way of it 3rd. I think a full on bo3 is better because memes sometimes don't work properly because of a bad hand

Ok so I hope you have the time to read this but here is my detailed opinion. I personally love the idea of doing a meme tournament!! The fortunes hand cards ban I would be fine with but I think they should be allowed if the decks are first reviewed to be classified as a meme. As far as the best of three or one match I think it would be better to commentate like the actual shadowverse open with best of 3 and commentary but yeah I am aware that that would take a lot of time and effort so for that part whatever works best in the timeframe. As for swearing I don’t see a problem with it but if other people don’t want to hear it then It wouldn’t be that hard to just not curse for a bit. Also I would love to participate!! And help organize but since their will only be 16 spots available choosing participants could be an issue

This is what we needed , totally want to participate. 1. I personally think fortune's hand shouldnt be banned, because the new cards could be used as fuels for other cards ( fairy assault for burst shot. 2. Light swearing shouldnt be a problem. 3. 16p single match coz the more the merrier. 😂

I'm super interested! I've already got some ideas to go in hehe... 1. I don't think so. I'm more interested to see what you guys are deciding are "meta" decks. 2. Of course, it's your commentary. I'm in no position to lecture you on what you decide to say! Plus a lot of streamers swear on the daily anyways. 3. Bo3, but what are the deck rules? Are we bringing multiple decks or a single deck? I'd like to see the creativity of people out there!

Bo3 in Shadowverse is usually bringing 2 decks (or 3 decks in the case of Bo3 1 ban) and you have to win once with each deck Edit: the reason behind this is that if you create a private bo3 room it's already set for these rules

I’d be down for participating because I don’t really like meta decks lol. 1. Honestly, banning Fortune’s Hand might be good personally. Some silvers and bronzes are overtuned such as the Rally archetypes. 2. Light swearing is alright imo. Not really a person for swearing but works if it’s in good taste (if that makes sense). 3. Bo3 might be best. Having a single match to determine your chance to move up the ladder is kinda rough. Curious though if we’re bringing one deck or 3. Also just one question, is Karyl or Fool a meme? I hope not.

I'm pretty sure you will need to give the players an objetive definition of what a meme deck is. Maybe make a banlist or only allow bronze cards or something else. If you dont have a clear definition of what cards are allowed the power level would be all over the place

I don't really like fortune's hand. Don't mind swearing but I want to see every match. Thus would prefer which every format that would be easier for you as a caster. Probably single elimination.

A meme tourney ? Sign me in ! I don't think banning fortune's hand cards is necessary since it's a meme tourney and if u like to do the commentary just don't do it for the first round or make 1~2 Rounds per day instead of a 5 hour tournament
