Fun facts about demon slayer (NOT spoilers): 1. Tanjiro Kamado: All the Kanji that are used in this Anime are very difficult. I had never seen the first Kanji of his family name until I watched this Anime. His name in Kanji is 竈門 炭治郎 (Kamado Tanjiro). I should probably mention that in Japan, we write the family name first and first name second. In the first episode, we learned that his family made a living selling charcoals to the local people in the village. The first Kanji of his first name, Tanjiro (炭治郎), means charcoal (炭). 2. Demon slayer anime When I first heard the English title, I immediately thought that Demon Slayer means people who kill the demons, but when I heard the Japanese title, I realized that it actually means the sword that kills the demons. Kimetsu No Yaiba in Kanji is 鬼滅の刃. 鬼 means Oni (demons), 滅 means to destroy, and 刃 means Katana (sword), therefore, demon slayer means the Katana that kills the demons.
