Also you ALWAYS look so beautiful and out together. Hair perfect. Beautiful blouse and clothing. Always classy just like my Grandma was. She would fix her hair and go to the salon once a week and put her make up on and jewelry on every single day and get dressed even if nobody was coming over she still did it. She always had some kind of cake like you have your Bundt cake and she would always have some kind of nuts out or candies like those Jordan almonds. At Christmas time she would always have that old-time Christmas candy in a jar as kids we would come over to grandmas house and she would have all the sweets we could ever want but it wasn’t just on a holiday. She always had food ready in case a guest showed up unexpectedly that she would be able to whip something up very quickly, but she always had some kind of cake or pastry or candy Always ready with a pot of coffee going to give guests. Absolutely love your top. It’s so beautiful.

You were lucky to have a Grandma like her! My only living grandmother lived way across the U.S. so I never got to see her, but we did write letters until she passed away. Loved hearing about your dear Grandma! 💕

I like this series because you cook away real things have been in the kitchen. Lisamartinez2448: What's wrong with them? Probably most people use a folded up dish towel. I think they are much safer than those small square things, or the oven mitts that are so thick that they can't conform to gripping what needs to be taken from a hot oven. One thing though...Just make sure that the towel is not damp...It must be completely dry, because heat from the pan/dish travels pretty darn fast to the hands, & could cause very serious burns. When I took Culinary Arts classes in the '60's we always used dish towels to aid in hot oven work.

Because everyone who knows anything knows the best part of learning a recipe from a Southern Lady is in the telling of a story that may or may not be related to the recipe. 😊 I may not have been born in the South, but have lived here for so long I've picked up the "proper way" of showing how to make something and on any day I'm sharing a recipe, I can assure you there is a story to go along with it. Most of the time, it's how I came to making the recipe for the first time. My banana pudding is one such example. Thank you again for your generous spirit in sharing your recipes. I'm so happy I found this channel! I just love this precious lady! I also LOVE your shirts! Where did you buy them? I just subscribed and very happy I did. I am definitely going to make this recipe, but you lost me when you put lemon in the frosting. I can't imagine it together with a brown sugar pecan bar. I may just use a vanilla glaze on top.

Please try the fluffy stuff with sugar free pistachio pudding mix instead of jello. Though it is Jello brand. Use one of the smaller box of pudding, one whipped topping, crushed pineapple and your marshmallows. Yummy.

your pound cake story and then seeing the baking powder reminded me of a story - before we married, my husband shared an apartment with another young man. Neither one of them really knew anything about cooking, but they kept trying.... My husband-to-be didn't know there was a difference between baking powder and baking soda - so he made some very interesting (and inedible) cornbread!
