Wow I just made this kind of recipe yesterday minus ( sugar, salt, baking powder) love this idea of rolling out the dough with this small amount of dough. I also love the butter and honey you use at the end. I'm going to have to make these again hopefully today, Thanks for the recipe

Thank you so much. I’m so glad you’re gonna try the recipe. Please let me know how they turn out. Also, the amount of buttermilk I used in the video was just a little too much. I would suggest to cut it in half and add more if needed. 👍🏽Thanks so much for watching!

I made your biscuits last night for the first time.I always keep my butter shredded and flour in the freezer.They came out beautiful but it took 20 minutes for my biscuits to brown so the next time I will cook on 425 instead
@cassandrapye480920 күн бұрын
I’m so glad it turned out great for you. 20 minutes is about accurate at home. I had to actually adjust the time from cooking in my restaurant. I’m still stuck in commercial oven mode. lol , but I’m slowly adjusting to the oven at my house. Thank you so much for letting me know how they turned out!❤️❤️

Your caption says "Self-rising" flour that must be all-purpose flour to add all those ingredients. Self rising flour has salt, and rising agents in it already.
@cassandrapye4809Ай бұрын
You’re correct. Self rising does have all that in it, but I still add the other ingredients. It makes it a little bit fluffier in my opinion.

Can the dough be frozen if yes how long
@cassandrapye48093 күн бұрын
Good question! I’ve never used frozen dough. I’m assuming it would work just fine as long as the biscuits have been portioned out before freezing. However, because I’ve never done it, I can’t say for sure. Thanks for watching!

That is not self rising flour!! Self rising already has baking power salt in it. My mama always used self rising flour. She made biscuits all the time. They were very good
@cassandrapye48099 күн бұрын
Actually, it is self rising flour. I only use self rising for biscuits. However, This was definitely not the best presentation. Thanks for watching👍🏽

I’ve never use evaporated milk for my biscuits. However, I have used regular milk and they don’t turn out nearly as fluffy. I definitely recommend buttermilk. Actually on this video I did not use the right buttermilk. I used a lower fat and I did not like them as well. Whole buttermilk is best.

Thst didn't look like Whole buttermilk. Maybe, low-fat or fat-free. I was always told to use Whole. And they didn't rise too much.
@cassandrapye480922 күн бұрын
You are right. It wasn’t whole butter milk. Yes, you should always use whole buttermilk. I only had low fat to work with at the time. I’m able to use low fat buttermilk at my restaurant all the time because my commercial oven takes care of the rest. lol. However, my oven at home didn’t quite want to cooperate. I will be up loading a new biscuit video showing a much better result. Thanks so much for commenting.👍🏽
@shermanhofacker44285 күн бұрын
There is no such thing as full fat buttermilk. By definition, there is no fat in buttermilk! What is labeled as buttermilk is soured milk or "cultured".
@shermanhofacker44285 күн бұрын
Too much butter, melted would work no need for cold. Must have meant baking soda to go with soured milk. Since there was little rise, perhaps it was baking powder. A good rule is a teaspoon of baking powder per cup of flour.
@cassandrapye48095 күн бұрын
Cold butter is always better than melted In my opinion. I will admit, my oven in my house did not bake these up as fluffy as I would’ve liked. (could’ve been the temperature i baked them on ) However, I use this recipe all the time at my restaurant and they always turn out beautifully. This recipe works really well for me. Thanks so much for watching👍🏽
