Being a toddler is hard. You go from being a pampered infant who pretty much gets whatever you want, to a frustrated toddler whose list of wants has expanded exponentially, and parents who have stopped giving you whatever you want. It's bound to cause an occasional tantrum or two (hundred).😂

Alright, no transphobia in a wholesome comment section
@stevennguyen4993
@stevennguyen4993 Жыл бұрын
@@irishuisman1450 Nah, they have to face that controversy. Because people actually support it. Also it's not "transphobia". These are kids who cry because their parents wouldn't let them eat the couch. Not transitioning them is not some "irrational fear." It's common sense.
@irishuisman1450
@irishuisman1450 Жыл бұрын
@@stevennguyen4993 the definition of transphobia is being discriminatory towards transgender people. Most of the things that make kids appear stupid are just a lack of knowledge and life experience. If a kid gets genuinely upset because they don't want to be seen as a certain gender, why shouldn't we make them happy by calling them what they prefer to be called by? If they end up realizing they don't like it after all then switching back isn't hard, and if they continue feeling comfortable with the pronouns and/or gender that may not necessarily align with their birth sex, then good on them for realizing it early. I'm guessing you've seen a misconception somewhere that says that people let their little kids fully transition, hormones and surgeries and all. That's not the case however. Kids under a certain age will only be put on puberty blockers (to prevent them from developing features that might cause more dysphoria) until they're old enough to go through HRT, and while I'm sure it can be different between regions and countries, I'm fairly sure you also need to be above a certain age to be eligible for a reassignment surgery. Nobody's gonna force a kid to transition if they don't want to, and most of the things done to make trans kids under a certain age more comfortable in their own skin can still be reverted if the kid ends up not being trans after all. Haircuts and clothes are cosmetic, correct pronoun usage is a matter of respect and just simply making an effort, and puberty blockers don't make it so the person taking them can never go through puberty, they simply delay it for as long as they're in the person's system. If the person ends up not being trans they can simply stop taking the blockers and let their body naturally go through puberty. If they are trans then the next step would be HRT, but only once they're old enough to do so. People are more likely to believe a 16-year-old than a 6-year-old when they say they're trans.
@stevennguyen4993
@stevennguyen4993 Жыл бұрын
@@irishuisman1450 No, transphobia is a fear, aversion, and or extreme hatred towards trans people. It adopts its roots from the word "phobia" which describes irrational fear or desire for avoidance. However, too many people act as if criticism of trans agenda is 1.) ALWAYS discriminatory AND 2.) ALWAYS -phobic.
@stevennguyen4993
@stevennguyen4993 Жыл бұрын
@@irishuisman1450 Also, everything you stated regarding the transition process is false. 1.) Kids ARE stupid, but this is rooted in IGNORANCE. Most kids are not mature enough to make life-altering decisions at an age where they are crying about not being able to spend hours on video games or throw tantrums because certain clothes are uncomfortable and they'd rather run naked across the street like a typical toddler. 2.) Puberty blockers doesn't just pause puberty for later reinitiation. Your body is a dynamic process that is supposed to accelerate its growth during adolescence, and this us determined by a multitude of genes that promote cognitive as well as physical development. Your hormones is just one small part of it, but surprise-surprise, your internal hormone system is also decided by your genes. Because you have this thing called "DNA" that interacts with itself in order to make your whole body function. Puberty blockers is how you end up with 16-year-old teenagers suffering from osteoporosis because their female hormones are blocked and you crash their natural hormone processes. You know who also have osteoporosis? Old women with severely diminished estrogen levels. Turns out your entire sex and biology isn't solely dependent on which hormones you want to activate. Now there are cases of heart attacks and heart problems in young trans people. Mmmm, it's as if HRT experiments of the late 19th century weren't cancelled for that reason of people dropping dead from heart problems.

In our family two kids came along ten years after the first ones. One of the young ones was very emotional and melodramatic. And yes we teased him just to get him to scream and wail over some silly thing, because it was funny. Like he was lazy at a young age, and if you said the word "work" to him, he would start wailing and yelling. We even explained that if he didn't give such big reactions, we wouldn't tease him, because then he wouldn't be so funny. One time when he was about 8, playing soccer without underwear under his shorts, his equipment popped out on the field. Chances are nobody would have noticed if he'd just adjusted things real quick. But he rolled around on the ground kicking his legs and squealing about it, so he got everyone's attention. He was just that kind of kid, and if we'd had smart phones then, he would have become an internet star!
