What Really Happened When Nas Confronted 2Pac At The MTV Awards

On September 4, 1996; 2Pac and Nas had a well known altercation that has never been brought to life until now. In this video I put together what actually took place that night at the MTV Video Music Awards. From countless interviews and articles. The timelines were placed close to what I researched from all parties involved. To complete the story I had to place in some assumptions from history, and previous interviews from both parties. 2pac was upset to find out that Nas was dissing him along with Mobb Deep at their shows, even though he ran into Nas at the House Of Blues some months prior; and it was all love. Nas was close to Mobb Deep who 2Pac dissed, and also got word that 2pac made some diss records directed at him. They both came face to face at the MTV Awards after party in New York. Hope you like the video. Thank you!

@@WhosBreezyUK you think a respected MC like Nas with street cred is gonna like some random dude just diss him on wax over something he never did wrong? Pac had a history of doing this to sell records. Look what he did to Biggie, Jay Z, Mobb Deep, Fugess, LL Cool J , Dre etc. He started all of that for attention.

@user-kz1xv3hc7l this is one of those moments where the only thing about it that seems to be universally agreed on is that it happened but I've heard so many different details over the last 26+ yrs i mean from Nas and Pac being ready for war to Nas standing down and Pac being more the aggressor(which is what I read from Snoop, though I'm sure at one point in time he probably did say it was bullshit and nothin happened) to it taking place in Bryant Park or Central Park and of course the number of crew that was there where Snoop also said Nas had like 100 homies with him that surrounded him and Pac but that Pac wasn't paying attention but Snoop was because he had a Gang Mentality..shit i even heard from one of my childhood homeboys and a local dj in my projects that it took place at the Bronx Zoo(I'm talking the actual Zoo not Yankee stadium though either one would be a trip) but they probably just said that shit cuz that's our boro but my point is what really happened in this story is like the old Tootsie Roll Pop mystery The World May Never Know

Tupac was protected in New York like the President of the United States. Which makes it that much more disappointing and perplexing that he didn’t seem to have anywhere near as much cover and protection a few days later in Vegas. If everything narrated in this video is true or true enough, then I really do respect how a young 2Pac and the young Nas were able to come together in a clearly incredibly tense situation that could have turned into a mass murder scene, squashed their beef and even made plans to work together in the short future. And shout out to Eric B who was able to get to Pac 1st and try to talk some wisdom to him and speaking up for Nas. I’ve heard different accounts of how that meeting went down but this seems to be the most accurate account.

Pac is older than Snoop by almost a year. Pac '71 Snoop '72. Pac should have been a leader, not a follower. And watched them beat up the Crip, instead he got involved and got killed. Not assassinated, killed. I loved Pac's music,he was a great poet and had potential to do great things. But got caught up trying to gangbang. The gangs should have that energy for the police. I say that for all states,my own included. So excited to kill another black man, but scurry like roaches when the law comes.
