This video is amazing. Never in my life have I felt confident about this topic until today. What was random memorization and something I was always insecure about, has now become something that I feel is totally understandable and interesting. Thank you so much for this fantastic lesson. The decision to sub has never been easier!

So good! I'm literally in 5th year of medical school, about to do my finals and only now do I truly understand how to localise strokes! Thank youuuu

BRILLIANT! God bless you! The only thing I wish was mentioned would be the level at which specific tracts start in order to understand for example, why Weber includes signs of only 2 out of 4 of the rule of 4s and not all 4 (like in lateral medullary syndrome).

This is the best video I’ve come across on this topic. Thanks for not only explaining everything succinctly but also coming up with extremely useful mnemonics!! 🥺

I'm deeply grateful for all your neurology series and this video in particular, you provide the easiest explanation on all the neuro system and especially brainstem strokes. I've searched a lot of explanation to brainstem strokes and I can't find better than yours. I went from confused to confident in 12mins. God bless you🙏 .Keep the good work!

thank you, there is a mistake however...The facial nerve is responsible for motor innervation of the muscles of facial expression, Not for sensation of the face which is Trigeminal, cranial nerve V.

Hi… just a question…. Wouldn’t medial pontine syndrome just have damage to lateral recuts and not facial asymmetry as facial nerve comes more laterally? Btw great video for review and even 1st study
