My father was a paranoid schizophrenic and in an institution when I was 2 years old in 1970. He'd hide in the closet saying the FBI and aliens were after him. He wouldn't work and was very violent...especially when drinking. I still have a scar on my palm from when he pushed my mom who was holding me as a baby down a flight of steps, i needed 3 stitches as a baby. I only met him once in 5th grade. I have no idea if he's even still alive.
