As a homeschool full time working mom, I feel like this video should have pauses for me to chime in and just join in the conversation! LOL This video was great and pretty much hit on every challenge that we face, including impossible play dates, other parents acting like we aren’t doing anything, and the daily struggle to keep the plates in the air. Crying is real and happens! But we know what is best for our families and how our houses work. But gosh it isn’t easy! Thanks for the great content, I appreciated this video more than most. 🥰

Feeling isolated because the "real" homeschool Moms don't even acknowledge me/us.

This was so helpful and insightful. This is my first real year of homeschooling my 7 year old and I recently got promoted to a higher position with more responsibility and I was just having a meltdown before coming across this video. Honestly God pointed me to the right video because I was just praying for help and feeling like inadequate as a mother. Thankyou so much for this amazing video! It truly has helped me see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I was on that boat and I couldn’t do it. I threw in the towel on a great job with awesome coworkers so that I could dedicate my time to homeschool. The budget is tight and I do wish I could have tried harder to make it work. Too many hats for me I guess. Congrats to those who can make it work. It is no easy feat.

I’ve homeschooled for 13+ years and worked as a pharmacist/pharmacy manager throughout. EVERY year is a new experience that requires modifications to both my work and home schedules. The kids’ needs changed every year and I’ve gone through good and bad years depending on how well all the pieces (work, home, kids, schooling) fit together. In the trench it’s overwhelming & impossible sometimes. In hindsight, it was all worth it! I’m homeschooling my youngest child for the last time this year and I know I’m going to miss doing it so much once it’s over.

This was an encouragement to me-- thank you! I started part-time work when my children began taking MPOA classes (perhaps it was/is that perpetual struggle/desire to be a "Proverbs 31 woman", lol)-- and yes, it is hard work to manage family/work, but it is possible with family support/teameork mentality, as you ladies indicated. And-- working a bit outside of the home gives me a healthy mental break a few days a week, and it has required a certain amount of healthy self-motivation/independence from my children. My coworkers laugh/look at me like I am crazy when I say coming to my part-time job is like vacation for me, but anyone who homeschools their children likely understands what I am saying! Working outside of the home while homeschooling requires a certain amount of familial sacrifice, organization, and a dedicated support system, whether it be a spouse or mother-in-law. Also--fwiw, loved Carrie's closing comment, "Stay in your lane" & Dianna's advice not to compare what your family is (or isn't!) doing to what other families are doing. I always need to be reminded of that! Every family's needs are unique and when you are working to fulfill those needs by attempting to balance work with homeschooling, I believe you are fulfilling the Lord's will for you and your family. The balance does indeed change with each season of family life!

Just as a friendly reminder prov 31 was meant to be a blessing for women, in Jewish culture today it is said over women. American culture has twisted it to be a checklist and comparison. So don’t worry about having her take a hike- that’s American perfectionist culture
