I love this! I’ve been working from home and homeschooling for 3 years now. The biggest thing I’ve felt is guilt over not being able to do all these things I see other moms doing or not having enough time for more read alouds or co-op.

Sonya, thank you for sharing this. It is very difficult at times to manage working and homeschool. I was blessed to know I’m not alone!

Thank you for putting these thought together. Asking my husband is my secret weapon for gracefully saying "no" to the outside world. :-) Tuesday and Thursday afternoons during nap time are my office times, I need to continue training the children to "Do Not Disturb" during those times.

This was really great for me to listen to. Especially the bit about my children seeing me do something I have a passion for aside from them. And the seasons of life that lend to your work and sometimes these season that don't lend you the time. Ahhh. Such words of encouragement to me right now.

WoW, thank you so much! I’m listening to you from France, as I am about to officially start homeschooling - and I have my own business. This is SO encouraging! Thank you for the seasons aspect of it and the looking back part: you are saying this is possible, as you build the habits along the way!

This was life giving. I had a busier than normal day with work, and I looked at my littles like, is homeschooling serving them well, i feel frazzled. I like the idea that we make decisions and yes to one thing is no to something else and that is okay. Peace and blessing to you both

My working from home has been running our 40-acre farm. It is a full-time job in itself, but we have found some of these same principles helpful with home educating and working from home. "Necessity is the mother of invention". :) Blessings ladies!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Both of you were soooo encouraging to me at this point in my life. I’m still praying & asking God for guidance about working from home & whether or not I should. If I do how can I find something that will pay well for memberships, etc.

I am glad that you found encouragement from this video! If you are still looking for ideas on employment while homeschooling, you may want to join a general homeschooling group online and ask this question there to find out what other homeschooling parents have had success with!

Another great video. Thank you for sharing. I have a question not related to this video. Your together retreat 2021, is it for mostly or just for homeschoolers that use your curriculum or any families that love to follow CM principles?

We'd love to see you in GA! The Charlotte Mason Together Retreat is not only for families who utilize our resources but for all CM families and CM inspired families.
