Why do people have an obsessive need to feel like they are righting some perceived wrong done? The US didnt ignore the French contribution to the invasion. Ive seen countless different accounts of how important the French contribution was. You can claim the British ignored the French contribution since them ignoring Dutch resistance intelligence is why Market Garden failed and the British are known for ignoring contributions made by anyone but them.
