We're super happy to put up our first official cover of a Chrono Trigger song! It's no exaggeration by any stretch of the imagination to say that this game is one of the greatest RPGs of all time, and we'd say that the music alone should also get its own award. This track in particular always gives off such a haunting, ominous, yet strangely serene energy, and the fact that it it's the first thing you hear when you go out to explore the world sends such an intense message. So much of this implied imagery can be explored in the harmony that accompanies the melody, and that's why we decided to put our own modern jazz approach to it. This surprisingly moody and transporting song features great solos from Pat on alto, Jake on vibes, and a newcomer to the acoustic sessions, Olin Clark on guitar.
